yes Their advanced course is pretty much the IAM course but with some high speed stuff. IIRC some drivers who have done military driving courses have the same exemption.

Dunno, but I've emailed that website about the validity of the seats down theory.
Imagine though, if he made Chief Constable. A lot better than Brunstrom, I would think. biggrin

If he reduced the tyre pressure from 38lbs to about 30lbs he could save 20% in weight there.
The boys a fool.

OK. On the basis that you just couldn't make this up, lets come up with some other speed enhancements. coffee
a) Position the rear view mirror so it is perpendicular to the road, thereby reducing air turbulence
b) Get rid of that ancient tape player and get a CD player, as CD's are thinner, again with less air turbulence
c) Drive with your boot / hatchback open, thereby increasing downforce
d) Paint you wheels white on the basis that they reflect rather than absorb light waves, hence making them lighter
e) Never change your underpants, thereby increasing the likelihood of skid-marks.
f) Change your chequered seat patterns to stripes, to aid airflow
g) Eat 4 tins of baked beans before driving, thereby introducing flatulence, the air of which would make the car lighter
h) Drive a Vauxhall Astravan, since everyone knows they are the fastest vehicle on earth.

Nope. I still can't beat driving with the glove-box open. loser

What about sealing the car interior so it's airtight, filling it with hydrogen or helium, and then using some kind of snorkel apparatus in order to breathe?

Sounds good, but shouldn't there be a conveyor belt involved at some point?

You could fit a small inclined conveyor belt over the bonnet, to gently waft air away from the car in order to reduce air resistance?

I know somebody who thinks we get heavier when we die. "Otherwise why would there need to be 4 people to carry the coffin, even when it's only a small person's body inside?"

I suppose it would also explain why hearses go so slowly when there's a body inside hehe
Hey, I always wondered about that, so thats the reason eh

You'd have to make sure the whole car didn't take off though!

Shirley if the conveyor belt was on the bonnet it would have the reverse effect of giving more down force meaning he could 'go flat' round roundabouts so it would work but not in the way that you thought it would.

Dizeee is indeed real, in fact he lives around the corner from me. Although I've not met him, he's a regular on the Thames valley and surrey forum and has attended a number of meets.

Well i have met him a few times. He's a nice, genuine guy, who perhaps made a naive remark in a post over a year ago, which i'm sure he has regretted. Many people here have had great fun at his expense, but how long do you continue to rake over coals before it becomes boring?

Surely its time to give the guy a break?

You haven't been round here long, it'll take about 2-3 years before people forget it. It may even become part of PH legend, like the WHoCT and caudence clutching hehe
