We've taken some pics of the car today and they will follow in the next few posts. There are a lot of them - I hope you like them (if there are just too many and it causes big problems for people I can cut them down a bit I guess).
To follow in a few days time will be some video of the car starting up, blipping throttle, and on the road.
I'll make a few comments after I've posted the pics.

Great news!!
You could always use Flickr or Picasa to share the photos in a gallery instead of dumping all of them here. Picasa is free and Flickr allows for up to 200 photos before you have to pay.

That is perfect. No other word for it.
I've never lusted over a car more!
I work at McLaren - did MOE in Woking Business park do the work on this car?

Hmm the front plate seems to have fallen off. The car looks bloomin brilliant. Although all those pictures should be in the bad parking thread, but we will let it slide this once.

OK that's it for the pics, mostly. I hope the video comes out well.
As I've now seen the car indoors/outside, in sunlight, overcast, etc. - I can say that I'm blown away with how good it looks. The blue certainly has some purple tones in some light, can be quite blue sometimes, and quite black sometimes - it looks great.
The tattoo/squiggle actually looks really really good in place (vs. those bonnet only shots we saw a while back). It is not in-yer-face and doesn't look like a scratch in the paint - it's almost invisible when there are a lot of reflections, and very clear when there are not - hopefully some of the pics show that. I was really skeptical, but think it is a very nice touch, very individual.
I can't say I liked the idea of the white panel at the back of the bonnet either, again though it works well and doesn't look out of place.
The white stripes on the side are also very effective. The easy thing would have been to simply have white stripes, but using the fine light blue edge around the white stripe gives it more substance and works brilliantly against the dark blue.
So in summary ... I loved it all - smart, elegant and unique.
Sir Flemke, I had a fun day, thank you.
