RE: Saab Black Turbo X
Discussion
I had a 9-3 Aero Sports Saloon also. WORST car I have EVER owned. 12 days in the dealer's hands in 6 months (5 different ones) trying to get varies problems fixed - and some of them never were fixed. More rattles than Mothercare's warehouse. It was the pits. Looked good. But the pits.
This one looks good on paper, an should probably stay on paper. There are better cars to be had out there - and better dealers that may actualy care a toss about the product. Sorry "Saab", but you no longer maker proper Saabs/cars like you used to.

Tend to agree the original 900's were the dogs, they are now just up market VauxhallsThis one looks good on paper, an should probably stay on paper. Agree 100%, whatever happened to Saab? The 90's seem like a bit of a blur for them and since then they have never really recovered. Still, the AWD thingy sounds pretty imperssive, would be nice to see that on more of there cars. This one looks good on paper, an should probably stay on paper. I like it and if thats the same engine as the VXR then 340bhp should be possible from the tuners
saab have always had there own engines and suspensions, that's what's different from vauxhaul. you can get 300-350bhp from a saab 9-5 engine quite easily. above that it costs serious money and alot swapped out parts.i want an aero said:

"Inside, the design is a replica of the original 900 Turbo"
I didn't know that the 900 had sat-nav!
The only bit that looks even vaguely familiar to me are the 3 big switches in the center of the dash. They arn't the same by any means.I didn't know that the 900 had sat-nav!
If it wasn't for that I'd doubt the person who designed this 'replica' had ever seen a 900T interior.

And even those are in the wrong place - they were in the main dash rather than in the center console (which was nowt more than a storage bin with a DIN-sized holder for accessory gauges or audio gear if you were so inclined, in the old 900).900T-R said:

If this is even remotely true then why have Saab said next to nothing about the cars capabilities?
I really don't understand the company any more, they sent me a flyer a few months ago that had the word "sporty" on it about 20 times per page next to some pics of a diesel 9-3 rep wagon but didn't give me a single reason why I would buy the thing over any other car.
