New Edition Of Bugatti Veyron

A new aluminium Veyron has been unveiled at Frankfurt.

The Bugatti Veyron Pur Sang has been released at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The name means 'pure blood' or 'thoroughbred', and the new car features an all-aluminium body shell and a carbon-fibre bonnet.

For a rumoured €400,000 more than a standard Veyron, all you seem to get is a car that is 200lbs lighter and has no paint. The weight saving will give a little more performance, although it makes a small impression on the car's more than 2-ton weight. However, it certainly looks good.

If you can afford that car then you have people to keep it clean.

As well as an escort of guards to stop people from trying to touch the motor.

Can't stand the look of it, it almost looks cheap and nasty.

For a plain metal motor, it doesn't look as good as the blinkin' DeLorean!

€400,000 for ally bodywork?

I'd want a full carbon fibre bodywork for €400,000... and then paint over it...

Yep, you'd have to carry a Brillo pad everywhere to clean the smears around the door off.

But thats euros, not pounds- its only an additional £273,000. And for that you also dont get the heartache of deciding what colour to paint it. Seems like good value

that's enough sucking up. Can I have a test drive now, please

Put it like that it sounds like spankingly good value. Being a millionaire show off with a small penis, I can't think of anything else I'd rather spend my millions on... scratchchin

Or to put it into perspective.

About 1000 miles in a good boat.

Huge numbers but still pin money to the gulfstream rich...

And alarmingly theres enough of them.

Glad I'm not the only one completely not getting this - I know, we'll downgrade the car, and charge 400k euro's more for it... yeah that'll work rolleyes

Unless they have re-worked the entire structure, they are now dressing a carbon fibre semi monocoque with aluminium panelling.. given carbon is much stronger for given weight than ally, I can only pressume to make it lighter they have also made it considerably less structurally sound?

Sounds like a winner all round with the money>sense brigade.

Just think, you could blind the coppers at night when they are trying to chase you as their headlights reflect back onto them!

Love it.

I had dinner the other night with a gentleman who arranged a few details for the Veyron introduction in his country. Apparently the public roads were off limits for high speed runs so he got permission for them to be held on the private roads on his uncle's farm. Must be some farm!

I think fully carbon fibred body with no paint at all and carbon fibre wheels to finish off would be the ultimate incarnation of what is already a pretty awesome bit of kit. And for that sort of money i'd also like hot and cold running totty please wink
Very nice biggrin
