10/10

I had one for 14 months after my 205 GTi and preceding my current DC2 Integra Type-R. Best hot hatch ever made, second greatest front wheel drive car of all time and for the price, the greatest. Every drive was an opportunity to hunt down some undiscovered B-roads. It was fantastic on track too (unsurprisingly considering it's Clio Cup Race car derived dampers) and Anthony Reid who drove mine around Goodwood commented on what a cracking little car it was.

Only negative was the driving position, which I didn't have a problem with (most cars are an ergonomic disaster when you're 6'7" ) until I drove my current car and realised the importance of feeling at the heart of the action, rather than 12 inches above it!

If you're considering buying one, try this site, I bought mine from this guy and he's the Clio Trophy 'guru': www.allvehicles.co.uk
And www.cliotrophy.co.uk for all the info you could ever need on this fantastic car.

A brilliant car. One of a kind that'll never be repeated. Hats off to Renaultsport for making it happen.

They're starting to make a lot of sense as a bargain hot hatch, you can get them for 5 or 6 grand these days. Another grand will get you 200bhp. Yes please.

Just came seventh after a Lotus Elan in evo's 100 greatest driver's cars article. Can't be bad. I'm getting an Elan now.
