I'm actually 5'9, well built, blonde hair, blue eyes, no glasses. If I ever attend a meet, I will not be slaughtered. After hearing what happened with TomTVR and another chap at a meet, I'd rather not go to a PH meet, I don't want to be strangled or glassed, thankyou. Behaviour of louts is all I will say.
Good good then, at least none of us will have to put up with your ginger haired chops Now, how about answering my question. What type of car do you drive?
So which one is it?
Yes. I am bored and still at work.

You don't seriously think that would happen do you?I think that you want to stop pigeonholing people - its something you learn in life, that you shouldn't judge people so quickly.
ETA: WTF are arguing over badge snobbery here.
By rights, from your argument, if its wanky to drive a BMW because of its image, then why should we give two hoots anyway - surely as long as you are enjoying your car, then whats the problem?
I think a common theme here is that the BMW drivers (including me) appreciate our cars for the way the 'drive' and their interiors - whether or not better than a Mondeo isn't the point - its more that we like them, and thats fine.
If thats badge snobbery, then god help us if we buy a Roller for its opulence.

All this in my 10 year old £4000, 135,000 mile 2.8 BMW - the price of a five year old Mondeo 2.0l with 80k miles.
... or you could have saved yourself £500 and bought a 50,000 mile 2.5 V6 ST200, on a 2000 plate.If you're going to compare - at least do it on a like-for-like basis.
Hey now, I don't think this thread was meant to actually compare these cars on their merits, was it?
Please refrain from such heresy and carry on with in-depth assessments of the personality structures of the respective cars' owners/buyers, and ad hominem attacks. Thank you.
what about the X-TYPE, then?

Life's good thanks mate. Busy, but good. Be good to see you at Vmax (assume you'll be in attendance?) - might even throw you the keys to the Mondy (bend it, you bought it).
How's you..? Still loving body pump..?

its simple. people buy what they can comfortably afford. people with slightly more money may buy a 5-series. so what. they arent showing off, just want a little more luxury.
I can no way afford a new 5-Series but appreciate the quality of them. Hence I own an old one. Give me a 1994 5-series over a 1994 mondeo any day of the week.
I agree but then I wouldn't swap my 1994 granada cosworth for your '94 525. If you tell me you're BMW is better spec'd and performs better I'll take your word for it but I would be mightily surprised.I can no way afford a new 5-Series but appreciate the quality of them. On numerous occassions the Ford has out accelerated BMW drivers who try to over take it, in their 520i's.
That just reinforces that you're a , and so is your dad.I'm with Mr Sharpton here, your OP warrants the insult and your dad's driving from what you describe is definitely worthy

BMW drivers are, more often than not, cocks, and deserve to be humiliated.
Can you enlighten us as to your glittering driving career during which you have come to this conclusion? Or is it merely a continuation of your PH career trend of talking cobblers? As to this

HAHAHAHAHAHA! Mate my dad could afford a 150000 lambo if he wanted it, but he doesn't.
Have yourself a little man, you deserved it I would like to know how the lad draws his conclusions as yourself and I both drive BMWs and are at the very height of swarve sophistication and social popularity
Could afford a £150,000 Lambo, but buys a Mondeo GLX?
Nothing wrong with Mondeos, but if money wasnt an issue, surely you would go with the ST220 if you were opting for a blue oval?
