Looked like a quality meet. Shame of the Ultima, doesn't look wrecked to me. Is that TheStoat's Cob?
Hello chap! I didn't think the Ultima was wrecked either but then I was driving past rather than assessing it. That is my Cobra in several galleries (the one with the roof) splashout1 said:
Garlick,
Nice response thanks for the time, I would make a possible suggestion to try but may not be big enough worth asking though.
They do a Jap meet most years
It is the vllage of Bolney and i think its the pub, the stage that run it phone 01444 881200 its on street parking just off the A272 so nice roads to it, they use the pub car park and street parking. Sure they will know how many cars they usually cater for and if its a possibility.
Pub was open for drinks toilet a BBQ last time I went.
Maybe to far south though just a thought.
Another is asking if you could use maderia(sp?) drive in Brighton where the speed trials are held this is regularly closed off for shows and stuff through the year no idea if its free, but as an attraction for visitors of Brighton then could be?
Er, not any more they don't. Bolney Jap meet went off the radar in 2007. The Bolney Stage used to be a cracking pub. It was taken over by a outfit called Blubeckers and is now a poncy overpriced 'restaurant' pub. Bolney 2007 was cancelled due to the pub owners saying that a car meet wasn't welcome.Nice response thanks for the time, I would make a possible suggestion to try but may not be big enough worth asking though.

Bolney 2006 had far more cars - nearly double what we had last Sunday. I wasn't able to go to Bolney that year but I heard that the sheer numbers caused some issues and some antics went on which got up the nose of local residents and attracted the attention of Sussex Police.
Whether the pub was put under pressure to withdraw for 2007 or just did it off their own bat anyway I don't know. Whatever, Bolney is a no go for Jap meets and I suspect for any other car oriented event for the foreseeable future.

Bluebeckers or whatever they are called do a cracking giant rack of ribs, but about £18 iirc
I like the idea of Brands, but on a non-race day? Get them to open the cafe (priority No 1 ) and the motorsport shop...jobs a goodun
Fubes, A Club Race day would be best (sat or sunday) - so it costs 12 Quid or something to get in, but almost limitless space AND you get to see some great racing. Everyone wins, you do seeing all the Sunday Service cars and races, we do racing (more spectators) and Brands do for a much bigger gate (maybe I can get a percentage!)

Sounds like a winner to me Thought Brands would be Great as Loads of space, Donners not so Great, outside of the Paddock - not really part of the Suitable for huge volume of cars.
Brand Loads of Banks, just load of space, natural Amphitheatre for watching the Racing (one of the few track you can see it all (from the Paddock hill grandstand - free on club days)).
Silverstone is OK (Bentley one is best as the other is the MG Festival and will be about 20,000 MG's!).
Brands is Best on all counts for this - everyone wins.
Maybe Ted or Garlick can assess this Palmer would love it, all the Sunday service guys would, racers get a much bigger crowd and all attending get to watch some of the best Historic Club racing around
Mike - pop along to Donners anyway.
