I bought one of these a couple of years ago it's been used loads same price as op quoted iirc. It's a very solid piece of kit very wide and therefore stable very quick lifting.

Mine is blue.
Costco is a great place food is top quality you cannot do a proper weekly shop there but it has most things. Tyres are very cheap too like wise battery.

I saw this, and was quite tempted. Already got 1 jack which is fine for back but cant get under the front of the Westfield.

Really need a mini jack with that low height.

The red ones look good but IIRC are steel, not aluminium and weigh a darn sight more too.

Checked the box last night (sad I know I keep my trolly jack in it original box....) it is a 3 tonne steel T Jack. Amazing value for the price - IIRC its a twin cylinder.

My dad had a trolly jack dating from the 1960's uses all the time but ten odd years ago he had to strip it all down and replace the seals/washers. And it is still like new, sure it has lost any paint it ever did have on it and its probably of very little value to anyone but buy a good jack (just like any tools really) and they really do last.

Are these any better on saving the sills than the cheapy jacks that use a cup? Or would you still need to fashion some kind of wooden adaptor to spread the load either side of the sill ? smile

I have the steel one (red). Its a great jack but weighs an absolute ton! Quite reassuring but doesn't half give you a workout lugging it around and especially if you need to take it with you, lifting it up over the boot sil!

Don't use wood when jacking a car up as it can split.

Yep, £75-80 +vat so less than £100.

I'm going tonight, I'll see if they have any in stock.

Oh, and the mega heavy steel ones are normally £30-40 +vat.

Yes the steel ones are more useful if it is going to live in your garage/workshop forever. The aluminium one would be good for trackside or mobile work.
