TBH if they didnt want the spray on tarmarc they would have cameras spray over it etc and they could get rid of it easily but as others have said they dont mind it they get rid of the crap but they welcome it as its part of the ring tradition ! get over it !
Very clever cameras they've got in Germany. To be honest...When i first saw the picture my initial thoughts were "Uh oh!".
I had absolutley no idea that there is almost a tradition with artwork on the track. Learnt something new about The 'ring today at least!

Whilt us Brits look on graffiti as vandalism the Germans have a different aspect on it.
You only have to vist Berlin to see exactly how much this view differs.
If you had ever visited Berlin while the wall was still up you would've noticed the difference between East & West just by the colours.
The West was always bright and colourful and the East was depressingly grey & very drab.
I was lucky enough to be in Berlin visiting the wifes family the week during which the Wall came down.
Only last year a building that was due to be demolished in what was East Berlin was actually saved by graffiti artists and is now a sort of gallery open to all.
Expressly to show off this particular sort of art form.

Pretty much the way I see it. When the official merchandise shop sells spray cans then I would see this as a reasonably legitimate action. Just like you throw coins at the Trevi Fountain or climb Ayers Rock (Also a big no no) or stick a flag at the pole....they are iconic things you feel you must do when visiting such a place.
For those who have been to Nurburgring and feel its wrong - fair enough (we all have different tolerances to what is acceptable behaviour).
For those who have never been - stop being so judgmental without knowing all the facts.
