Having a programme showing us how to fit headlining to a Range Rover perhaps is evidence that we may just have a few too many TV channels.....
In 30 mins they discuss how to slove many problems with the car (not just the headlining issue), as well as a guide on how to buy and sell for the best possible price. They point out the known weak areas of each car they buy and sell, if you only learn one thing from watching each show then it's worth the time watching IMO. Even my missus knows her balljoints from her bleed nipples thanks to this programme.

Keep the new series coming, and Ed and Mike if you read this then "topworkfella" ! thumbup

I don't think its supposed to be factual or precise. Its just car related easy watching. Compared to some channels on cable/sky this is not bad.

Ed China is maybe a bloke but he is a genius and he has a lot of fans out here in the Philippines because of his expertise.

Edd is a bodger - 'Let's slap some filler over that rust and make it look good until it rains'.
I don't rate his quality of workmanship at all.
The guy has fantastic abilities when it comes to repairing cars.Sorry you know better,my mistake.
+1

The "professional bodge" is a fantastic skill to have when trying to sort out cars to adecent standard on minimum cash. Any twit can put a car into the main dealer or marque specialist and say "just make it like new, I don't care what it costs."

Great show.

+1 for wheeler dealers. Top show. China knows his stuff, undoubtedly. Brewer's a bit of a gobste, but it's probably just his screen persona.

Sorry to reignite this old thread (to those who have a problem with it) but did no one else see the irony in China selling his Beetle to the production company to make the Beach Buggy, then not use any of it because it was too rotten!? Good business Mr China!

Last I saw he did up a VW van at considerable expense and then decided to keep it for himself. Nice work!

Great show.

The production crew buy the cars, they know fk all about cars & often buy a pup. Thats why when you see them for sale there is often a load more work been done as it's not 'in the script'
Female friend of mine was selling a Fiat 126 on eBay and had a call from the production company wanting to buy it. She had never heard of Wheeler Dealers so initially thought it was a scam.

Anyway they came along, bought it and the car broke down on the way home, lots. Few days later she got another call asking her if she would take it back a they decided they didn't want it after all.

She took it back on the condition that they got her a signed picture of Mike Brewer which I now have in my downstairs toilet!

She didn't get to meet Edd or Mike at all but was told if they wanted to use the car for the series Mike would come along so they could film him buying it.

I'm in the US and i stumbled upon this show and I love it. Sure they don't make much off the cars and would loose money if ed's labor costs were included but they do a quality repair and its neat to see the tricks

Cheeky bds! Caveat Emptor and all that.

I hear from friends of friends in the military that Brewer gave a decent account of himself in Afghanistan and that he was widely regarded as a decent sort.

I know it's all a bit staged but I really love wheeler dealers smile Some nice old cars & they film the ed stuff well enough to give you a pretty good idea about how to tackle repairs clap
