Lots of incredibly expensive engine and supercharger problems have been caused by putting the 550i oil filter into the supercharged Alpina engine found in the B5, B6 and B7 and 'S' variants; the 550i filter is different to the 545i filter and so starves the supercharger of oil, causing the clutch and various other wee parts to break down and enter the engine causing catastrophe.

It is based on a 545i so needs a 545i filter.

Do otherwise at your peril.

Is it just me who thinks the interior looks absolutely awful these days?

Its aged really badly I reckon. Maybe its just the grey.

Take the point, however that's not the best photo in the world. Here's a better one.

imagining the orchestra of squeaks and creaks is triggering my previous Jag owner PTSD.

Agreed, that is silly money. That interior is light years behind the F10.

Yes, there are some quite decent examples of the F10 535i around for that sort of money now and I'd much rather have one of those.

I do like it when cars crop up in wonderful, unusual colour combinations. Check this out.

Individual Le Mans Blue E65 45i with Oyster and piano inlays. Some nice spec too, comfort seats, rear entertainment etc.

Also under ten bags.

Specification on this is amazing, although £17k seems quite a lot?

What were these new, £80/90?

I really like that, but I suspect it may need to be cheaper yet before it finds a buyer.

I thought cars like this were being exported to far away lands where right hand drive works and fuel is less taxed. Now that gbp is even weaker is this still going on?

I don't think cars like that are. Cheap RHD cars like that are coming here from Japan, rather than being exported. It's propely expensive cars like air-cooled 911s that are going abroad from the UK at the moment, and of course LHD is at a premium for most UK export markets (even the Japanese prefer LHD for anything seen as 'special'.
