That looks fantastic for about £10k. But so does the STR for £5k you posted on the other thread. Something along these lines is starting to look very tempting...

Cheers for the tip.
I future posts I will consider adding make and model etc. in one way or another, depending on the type of post, but for now I'm off to do something else, so this post will miss out there.

DB7, not too up on prices but this seems like it would be a nice place to sit, just showing 33k miles

How reliable and good are these?

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2012...

Bear in mind i have a 3.0 A8, would this feel better than the A8, is it more reliable etc?

Love the colour, love the spec, would want black leather.

It's a HUGE amount of car for the money though, isn't it.

No way. Cream with burgundy; always.

What a glorious motor!

Autotrader stats reckon the 750 will pull 34mpg extra-urban scratchchin

Does it shut half the engine down this one? Think we've had this conversation before...

No, it doesn't. The 760 can though.

I don't find that a tall claim, given that it's a pretty efficient design - double VANOS in conjunction with Valvetronic sees the N62 V8s more economical than the preceding generation, a sixth cog in the box will help over 50mph too.

I used to see 34-36 from an E38 735i at a legalish cruise for reference and pegged to a speedo displayed 70-75mph, the E32 750 hovers between 28-30 which is by comparison a rather unsophisticated lump, pulling a similar weight vehicle through a presumably less efficient gearbox/driveline.

The problem being that 70 feels like 40mph what feels like 70 in a large-engined Seven tends to be rather a lot more, with the attendant drop in empeegees.

So IF you can exercise restraint, then yes it's quite feasible. Big if though...

Cheers Z - yes I remember now we were discussing that 760 last time. Awfully tempted by one of these I have to say. May run the E38 up to MOT renewal, then punt in on with 12 months ticket

I have a question about the BMW I Drive system:

Can it be reset to 'factory' settings? or do you have to go through every single thing when you buy a car with this system.

BTW the BMW seems very good value.

I ran a GS430 SE-L for about 18 months and 20k miles.

VERY quiet/smooth.
Quick(ish).
Faultless.
Toys galore.
Amazing stereo.
Brilliant SatNav.
Unmatched dealer service.

If you can find a SE-L with adaptive cruise then it is a sublime understated motorway muncher.

I'm seriously looking to replace my C5 RS6 with another Lexus, but more likely to be a LS460 SE-L... However another GS would be a compromise I'd be happy with if I can't find the right LS.
