So a pricey plate ! I have no need or use for that car but I am very very tempted - maybe a £14 bid smile

I need to get my business supercharged first, I had forgotten what work was after the kids arrived but now refocused. That blue SLS however I would break the piggy bank for. I've always liked them but in blue it's so desirable.

This looks great value, its one of those cars you know will be ok - my only concern is the cheap plate may have meant a cheap 2nd or 3rd owner but its a lovely thing for £15k
CLS does look good but next to the CL v12 BiTurbo - considering both are 2007 - I would find it very difficult not choosing the 100k motor.
It's also a CL.

Black with Black lacks imagination. The v12 looks better.

I don't blame you. I love my ageing (2003) A8 to bits and the 4.2TDi goes like a train, particularly with a remap. So much more handsome than the model that replaced it too.

Older but a rare car and still 621bhp and 1000nm torque

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2014...

Or a newer twin turbo v12 but with less power

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2014...

I'd take the older car

Tom Hartley had a black S65 of the same vintage with similar miles for circa £28k not to long ago. Makes that silver one look like good value.

I remember that balck W220 S65 at Tom Hartley - I thought it was expensive.

I am convinced the silver W220 S65 above is good value at £15k, it is a very rare model - I can't remember the build numbers but have them at home and will check later and post.

Also the cheapest W221 S65 I can find is £36k and it is only 2 years newer. So well over twice the price saves you 20,000 miles and 2 years in age.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mercedes-S65-AMG-Saloon-...

This one has also been for sale for a LONG time.

For reference the W221 S65 cost from £154k - £165k from 2010 to 2013 (prices from honest john website).

W220 S6 AMG cost £146k in 2004; http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/mercedes-benz/...

So maybe the price of the W222 isn't that out of kilter with previous models allowing for inflation. Gives me some hope the W222 will drop down to similar levels in 8-10 years!

Pretty sure that W220 S65 has been for sale for a while and was priced at nearly 20k not so long ago.

What would you go for ~£10k, as luxurious as possible, with lots of toys.

Needs to do about 7,000 miles per year, so don't want to go below 20mpg.

Suggestions?
