A little different, maybe even an image problem (allegedly) and a few hundred quid over, however, what a bargain...

I am amazed at the way literally thousands upon thousands of pounds are bieng wiped off the value of any petrol car bigger than a focus due to rising fuel and taxation.

End of the day, Fuel prices will go back down once people realise the rear villains are all the speculators. There really isn't any reason for the high prices, not as if there is a shortage or anything.

With the car tax, as long as the car is worth it eg a Porsche or something, then it's not really a big problem. The £400 is going to hit stuff like family cars and people carriers a lot more.

The side effect will be bargebargains galore! I'm already saving up for the CL500, 2000 model of coursewink

Trader asking £13,995, using auction shed photographs, what do you think he paid for this 2003 03 Reg BMW X5 4.6iS with 90k miles ? £10,000 to £11,000 ? Shame BMW never put the 4.6 or 4.8 engine in the E39

It does indeed seems as though the world is imploding.

I hope those doom mongerers at the Beeb and elsewhere in the meedja are happy!
All the better for the Barge Bargain Hunter evil
I've driven one and found the ride very dissapointing. Probably the RFT.
