Fitted with Nankang tyres
Yes I did spot those - could be worse, Nankangs are 'ok' middle of the road tyres I'd say.I also spotted 12 months MOT / next due April 2016... ie been on sale for 3 months now. Must be getting twitchy...

Ive had Nankangs on one of my sheds in the past.
Id rate them as 'top' of the st brands (if that makes sense), just mildly better than Linglongs and stuff like that. No where near proper mid-range stuff like UniRoyal, Falken, Hankook etc etc.
Fair enough, I thought NS2s were in with Toyo, Falken etc so presumed they were fairly mid-range.Id rate them as 'top' of the st brands (if that makes sense), just mildly better than Linglongs and stuff like that. No where near proper mid-range stuff like UniRoyal, Falken, Hankook etc etc.

In addition those tyres are the wrong width.
Good beardage - what have they done then?

Since I posted that (some time ago!) I actually found out more about the car via the Volvo Forums.
Its important to note that its only a 5 seater, which is important as all UK spec cars should be 7 seats.....
Turns out these cars where specially built by Volvo for the Ocean Race event as press/ferry cars... I think 10 were made in total.
V8 facelift Ocean Race cars were not built as a 'general spec' for sale to the public. So its a rare old Hector.
Cant find the magazine review but am sure that when it was tested the XC90 V8 did 11mpg average .Its important to note that its only a 5 seater, which is important as all UK spec cars should be 7 seats.....

So quite a thirsty Hector.

I'm quite taken with a GTS actually. And it's all the better in get-the-fk-out-of-my-way DCR.
