I've seen this car. It's beautiful. Just reduced in price too. Car Revolution is - I believe - owned by a PH'er too.

I wander what they paid for it. I guess its fair to try your luck at a silly price. If no one shows any interest then you could drop the price a bit. But they keep dropping it. So has no one showed any interest yet?

Good morning, ATM! I probably paid more for it than I should have done, but it owed the previous owner in excess of £20k (and I don't mean over a long period of time, that's recent expenditure), so was a very hard car to value. It probably was priced optimistically initially, but to be honest, my heart wanted to keep it. I haven't kept reducing it though, it has had one price reduction and that was last night. I'm well known around these parts for my love of barges, so it won't come as a surprise to any of you, when I say that I will happily hold onto it. I can't keep them all though!

Momentous car. Cant help but think £12.5k is big money for a 7 year old car with £130k on the clock.
It was 13k when I posted it.
Now £11,995
As a trader you must be thinking this will take an age to shift? Even at 12 large its a lot of car to maintain.
I have one. They're no more than any other 5 to maintain. Fuel is a different story obviously.
Now £10,995.
£9,995

I'm not so keen. I think the corners look too sedate. To me it looks bland.

I'd agree. Looks more than 9Ks worth of car to me.

Its amazing how some cars age so quickly. I think its the headlights - never did like the MB double bubble headlamp arrangement.

yes I wanted a C55 for ages, but that looks really really old looking now.

Agreed, looks like a design from the 90s rather than the mod 00s.

Talking of headlights - it looks to have frontal damage, as the bumper / wing gap tapers and there's a gap above the lights and the grille. It could just need adjustment following a parking bump, but could be a poor repair.

(I think they still look good though!).

I've been watching Suits (slick lawyers) and instead of rolling in a Benz the main guy has a Lexus. Nice bit of kit and a slightly left field choice. Any experience?

Seems I need to start posting in this thread... after thinking I'd never leave the 1-5k area, a nice cheque and a rush of blood to the head sees me slipping up over my usual budget... picking up the £8k (well, nearer 9k as I've had a couple of bits of work done, and a couple more to come) barge tomorrow smile

Actually, I'm not at all certain it's a bargain, or even really a barge possibly... I'll throw it open to comments when I have a photo to post wink

I used to own one of those about 7 years ago. It was very fast and the interior had a nice quality feel to it:

Although no ownership experience I tried one of these when I was looking for a Luxo Barge. I loved the ride and the fantastic sound system, didn't go much on the auto box though which if I remember is a cvt system. My other main concern was the hybrid battery although my wife has a Yaris hybrid that gets the battery warranty extended every time she has it serviced.
In the end I opted for a Phaeton but if I could have found a reasonably priced petrol version I'd have been tempted.

Toyota's NiMH battery packs are incredibly durable as the millions of unkillable Priuses demonstrate. And they are also highly serviceable. If and when a cell does eventually drop, it can be relatively inexpensively replaced and the pack conditioned in the after-market.
