If only we'd mastered the art of making cars that never ever ever ever went wrong. I'd be so tempted by a nutcase Mercedes like that. I'm not bothered about tyre costs, fuel costs etc but I cannot be doing with 4 figure bork, it would just annoy me.

I guess they wouldn't depreciate anywhere near as much if they were 100% reliable.

2 days in with the LS430- fantastic car. Heartily recommend this Barge.

60k miles, barely a scratch on it. Interior in excellent condition. Superb hi fi, fantastic seats and a near silent engine makes for a fine motoring companion.
33mpg on the motorway @70mph, pottering on busy A roads today mixed with country village driving into darkest Gloucestershire resulted in 28mpg. Excellent value for money too.

Lower end of this thread that we dont usually see but this main dealer GS has caught my eye - something of the 'runt' of the family and as such plenty of depreciation left but I've still emailed the dealer as it looks like decent value!

Especially considering Lexus finance, warranty and aftersales will be fantastic.

It says in the ad 'Lexus Trade&Go' - does that mean they'll do a quick deal on your trade-in, or is it a fancy term for trade sale without all the usual back-up?

The N/S/R door looks a different colour to the rest of the car but overall, very interesting. Shame there was never an estate variant.

Had a 2005 GS430 in 2006, very refined, no hassle and silky smooth. They have switch sport shocks and you can tell the ride gets harder but it's far from sporty.
Great cruiser though.

Just figured that this is probably the most appropriate place for my querie.

I'm currently in discussions with the chap selling the £13k s6 5.2 on autotrader. It needs a couple of tyres, pads all round, a couple of drop links and a cv boot.

It i can get it for close to £12k, sort out the bits and pieces I can have a decent car for under £13k.

Am I deluded?

That colour reminds me of a Soho brothel/gentlemens club Ii used to frequent.

Cool car in a Lionel Blair/ Des O'Connor kind of way.

Looks great, I love purple cars though.

Just tried using the AT iPhone app. Criteria of "Lexus", "LS", "Nationwide" and "up to £5,000".

No results, "too specific" criteria apparently. What a load of st.

Got any of the other fields accidentally set? Or a keyword from a previous search? I get 45.

I did have 3.0-3.9l set from a prior advanced search. So I reset that to 4.0-4.9l and still no motors. irked
