I've had two st ones this week, the s6 and the 550i manual. Astounding how poorly people treat their own cars.
Which 550i manual? That grey estate?
The grey one with about 60k miles for sale for £12k in Stratford.

Maybe that's why it has been for sale for a little while then, 550i manuals (at a sensible price which this one is, unlike the Brass 08 plate) tend to sell quite quick.

That's fantastic!! A lot of money and if true that only 7 RHD then what a purchase that would make. Have another cloud9
In RHD, there were 8 B12 5.7 E38s (all SWB) and 7 B12 6.0s, just one of which was a LWB.

I enquired about that 550i a few months back and it needed some bits doing and the dealer seemed a little shifty. What were the issues you found - worth a cheeky low bid or complete bork in the making?

I love them, but I don't think I can justify a change right not. Your kid would have neck muscles like an F1 driver as it grew up, too...

I'd really love that but the potential costs scare the st out of me.

hehe

In truth I'm going to be a very frustrated buyer until May. I'm in my 5 until then at which point I pay the balloon, flog it and go car hunting.

The potential for multiple £3000 bils just writes them off for me unfortunately.

Bizarely a cayenne turbo actually appears to be a safer bet...I think...(Especially as the cylinder liner issue has scared me off the "s").

Speaking to a fella in Eastbourne about one at the moment in fact...

Something about a Cayenne Turbo, Eastbourne, and God's Waiting Room don't tie up for me... hehe

In truth,my Cayenne Turbo (04) which has 249k miles on it still genuinely feels very tight indeed, trim, without wear....really other than cooling pipe upgrade the rest just boils down to fuel, expensive consumables etc,but any comparible standard of vehicle will have expensive rubber, brakes, even fuel costs to a larger degree. No,the only real PITA is electrical glitches, loads of elec-trickery means loads of sensors and yes you will get the occasional light come up (i currently have one for 'check headlight alignment' no biggee though and an easy diy fix.)
They really are a great all round car,period.......but for the cost they are now? Bargain!
NB:i 'might' be a tad biased.

Not really sure if it belongs here, but let's throw it in for discussion, it has got a 4.4 V8 after all...
