That 600 is spectacular and has me doing some man maths. I gather this generation CL is pretty robust? It would have to be a long term commitment I expect as selling it would be close to impossible. Maybe if fuel dips below £1 a litre I'll do something reckless, it's not like that car is going to be sold anytime soon.
I'm thinking about a change / possible swap for something a bit less bargelike and a little more fun to drive.
Have an E500 5.5 Sport that I'd be looking to get out of, it's a 2007 model with 37,000 miles.
Any interest here? I guess I'd be looking to change to a 650i or 335i or possibly a reasonably refined hot hatch (i.e. an R32).
Not sure I want all the hassle of buying and selling really, but you can't change your car without going through the process!

What's the catch with this?

If I was in the £15k market I wouldn't hesitate
Looks very nice - the next service might have spark plugs being changed, so that'll be c£1k for the standard according to the MB website.http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2014...

I'm on the long term look for a second fun (power barge/SUV or sports) car that can seat 4 - this might make that list. Assuming it doesn't fail with spectacular cost regularly

Hmmmm I could still live with it even at that price - for some reason I expect the odd 'Bentley-esque' bill (bloody man maths).
Also would it be as dear at an indy? Always seemed the PH mantra was it was bonkers to take cars to a main dealer as a indy generally can do it cheaper and still stamp the book?
Reckon that is one catch unearthed for most though so well played

Aha indy was the word I was looking for!

Merc main dealer prices are always going to rape you.
I'd imagine half that at an indy. Helicopter123 said:

I'd imagine half that at an indy. The real question here is if plug change needs any computer programming - which I think is unlikely.
