Mine was classed as a 'cherished car' on my insurance policy.
I am insured with Classic Line as a "classic" and pay £300 p/a. 5000mls, all mods recorded.I think AON will have similar rates, but they didn't want to insure me due to modifications (which are all receipted as they are garage-fit)
You should have no worries with Classic Line
Question for the Lancia folk,
It was me who went to look at DJC's car
Anyhoo I am struggling like mad to get insured because the car does not have any security systems at all, everyone is refusing me unless its Thatcham 1, you can do quotes and stuff online and it will give you a price but then when you go through with it thats when you get the problems.
Spose its right group 18 and all that.
Any help other than "get an alarm fitted" lol.

It sounds really corny, but try Classic Line mentioning Club LanciaSport. They insure a lot of Lancia Deltas and know the car (unless things have changed!). Their issue is "is it locked in a garage" - the logic being that if it is, it's hardly likely going to get nicked to need a thatcham alarm if it's locked in a garage. It was me who went to look at DJC's car

The money you spend on an alarm may well be saved on the insurance. Besides, you really really do need one. I bought a very fancy Clifford for mine because I loved it, I think it cost something like £800 a good few years ago. These days you can probably get a Cat 1 for under £300.It was me who went to look at DJC's car

Stunning cars.
This one belongs to the father of a friend and sadly is a garage queen, although it did get driven rather enthusiastically for a magazine feature a couple of years ago.
When he does drive it, as a former rally driver he doesn't half pedal it along.
I asked my sister if she wanted to use mine as a wedding car and she refused, it was even the right colour! Turning up sideways in a white Integrale with white wheels and ribbons would have been so much cooler. This one belongs to the father of a friend and sadly is a garage queen, although it did get driven rather enthusiastically for a magazine feature a couple of years ago.

doesn't want to sell it, does he?
no? thought not
Best drivers car that I've ever driven/owned. You feel as if you are part of the car rather than just driving it. You feel everything, it really does inspire confidence and mine never once bit me, even when the back end started coming out at 90+ speeds, it never overstepped the mark. I miss it so much
I will have another one day, only then it will be the evo 2 in Giallo/Nero, old one is a 16v.
