impressive stats, ugly as sin, why a 996 interior (with bad taste colours)?
no way near as impressive as a Veyron which can do these speeds day in day out - Bugatti could always chip the Veyron as a one-off modification and get (for example) an extra 200bhp / 20 mph if they wanted to but they built a car designed to be usable / reliable
nothing makes me want this 911, sorry 9ff - would prefer a 997GT2 and lots of change

‘I find the Veyron too perfect, too easy,’ said 9ff boss Jan Fatthauer. ‘I wanted to build a car that would give my customers a little fight, a little special plaything for the weekends.’
Yeah, of course he did. He wanted to give them a car that he was capable of making within a budget.... a budget that won't even stretch to wind tunnel testing.
I don't know why he didn't at least try make it look a bit different to a Porsche.

~1000bhp from a 4.0l road car engine is very impressive, but not quite the pinnacle of forced induction madness. That would probably have to be the similarly powerful 1.5L F1 turbo engines
dunno. the 1980s F1 engines were designed to last mere minutes(well the qualifying ones anyway) and to be run on super expensive super dangerous race fuel. where as this is happy on the 98Ron stuff you could get from tescos.Polarbert said:

what an ugly car. still I already knew that as it was in evo months ago, hardly new news is it?
Apparently we shouldn't panic buy fuel either. Not seen that anywhere else.Would be nice if PH could come up with its own news articles like back in the day of Ted.

I love the way some people look at a porsche GT2 and think; "you know what, that's nowhere near fast enough". Scarey stuff! Respect to the guinea pig who first tested the vmax to the limit.
Great if your loaded, live in Germany, like to get up for a 4am drive, have a death wish and don't mind the typical "it's a maxed porsche" comments. What you might call a niche market

I think a lot of you are missing the point here...
I can't think of another car that is currently being made that is similiar to this. I don't like the way it looks, and I certainly wouldn't buy one if i had £350k spare to spend on a car. But, I still think it's brilliant.
Veyron beating performance, light weight, and exciting handling. And also built and engineered beautifully.
I imagine the top speed thing is more about PR and will tempt rich arabs into placing orders, it is a business after all.
