Ford Capri 1970 Cologne

With engine removed currently in the process of being converted to V8 Chevrolet ( lS7 )
Over 500bhp in a Capri!? I bet that will be a handful! And fun!
My Mk1 3000GT is a handful with just a lightly breathed on engine. hehe

I've just got back from a nice drive to Chelmsford to a Robin Hood Club pub meet. Obviously there were other cars there including this....

The thing that impressed me most was that apart from the 'LedSled' looks it wasn't messed about with. It even smelt of old Jag inside!!
It was actually a new chassis with an ally floor.
The way the guy had fabricated that plenum on the top and ducted the twin 'chargers so that he could have a standard bonnet was just fantastic.

Looks lovely, although I'm more partial to the rx3 myself. If I would change one thing it would be the wheels to some smaller Simmons 3piece jobbies.

Now that is the kind of attention to detail that separates the men from the boys and takes the it from a modified car to a whole new level of cool!!

We used to own that one at the front, mint and red MGB, like a young dog, it was too highly strung for what we wanted it for.

Lotus Type 22 With Kawasaki ZX9R engine

Cars like this upset and anger me at the same time, why wasn't it left as a 22? It'd be worth twice as much as it at the moment.

Maybe he wanted it to be usable? I'm all for it. The engine would be the bit that would be either unimpressive or ridiculously expensive to use (or both).

He may well have the original motor sat in a corner, ready to re-fit for sale.

I can see the logic of it.

Indeed, absolutely fantastic. I'd rather a car is used than stuffed & mounted. What has monetary value got to do with it when the owner is getting more personal worth by using and enjoying it? Fair play to the owner.
