Pictures of decently Modified cars

Despite being a big fan of Lotus' racing cars, whether FJ or GP or whatever, I think it's too easy to want every example to be as it left the factory.
Not that I'd want to do the 22 a disservice, but maybe I'd feel different if it was an 18, 25 or maybe 49.
Originality in itself is a debateable point with old racers anyway, since it's unlikely that there are any records of how much of the car is 'original'!!
Nope, I like it.

Ok here are a couple of pics of the first car I every built, The car was completed in 1981 and was my first attempt at fabrication, welding and spraying. Back in its day it won best paint at the Hayling Island show which was one of the top shows at the time and still is today. The current paint job is now over 20 years old. I have been involved in many builds since but have always kept this car as it was my first car. It is due for a complete rebuild later this year. Some of the mods include a 4 inch roof chop, hand made running boards, steel rear and front arches extended by 4 and 2 inches and a candy paint job. By the way the graphics were sprayed by myself and are not stickers as the odd wise arse has suggested, and yes they were the thing back in the day...
One of the guys I work with has this as his track toy...
