One thing that puzzles me though - with the recent story of the murci on dubai(?) plates, and all the other cars in london on UAE plates (as most of the exotica on show above have), are these cars flown over once registered in their native countries or bought over here but registered in their own countries and just the plates come over?
they summer over here so have the cars flown over and take them back home afterarryb said:
So (assuming that that is the same situation as the murci which IMO, is why it was over here, not just for a service as 'the scum' article claimed), why are the greenies not complaining about all these cars in london? Not that I'm complaining though, it's their money and it's awesome to see those cars!
it was a sensationalist piece of journalism of which nothing in it was remotely truethey can complain all they like, there's nothing they can do about it

Hi Sharief,
Like the spot on the HST! Sorry, is this Dubai?
About a year ago I saw this automotive 'Loch Ness Monster' of cars.....A CLS with what looked like a convertible roof. The 'gangstaaaaa' driving it was really leaning over the steering wheel as he negotiated traffic where Regent's Park segues into Camden. I thought to myself, "Nah, no-one would do that. There's no such thing....". I rubbed my eyes and it had gone.
Then I was tootling through Marylebone and out of the corner of my eye saw the car again with a chap with a bucket and sponge giving it a clean. Then I was through the lights.........whoosh.
So the other day my friend is looking at the CLS on the Motor Show Mercedes stand, and I'm sitting in the back of it, and the lady is showing my friend all the nice bits up front. Then I say, 'I've seen this one that looks like a convertible....'
"I don't think so....sir"
'Er yes, I have...'
"Yeah....right"
The Loch Ness Monster of cars.
I know others have seen this on the web, but I had to verify it....Once again, in my eyes....a sin.
i thouhght that was the one that they just had a normal roof and covered it in some kind of material (not sure what), not sure why either as itlooks ugly as hell but wach to there own i guessLike the spot on the HST! Sorry, is this Dubai?

Cool thread, my office is in Curzon St. on/near where a lot of these pics were taken - there is loads of exotica on Saudi plates in the summer; round here a £60k merc is like a Focus! common as muck.
The Dorchester hotel is always good for spotting, seen a few Veyrons up there, and they always seem to have at least an SLR outside - along with their own Rolls Royces!
keep posting, I'll snap some pics if I come across anything

Must be awesome to see all that exotica but does anyone else think its getting a bit silly with their blatant disregard for traffic laws etc, parking where they want, sticking 3ft out in the road, on junctions etc etc. Imagine if there was some major incident nearby, emergency vehicles would have issues getting access what with all the normal traffic mixed in there too

Hi Martin, this was actually a Ferrari 308gt4 refreshingly different to all the 360/430/599's running around, your right about the corniche you spotted being a series II car (give away is the impact bumpers and at that age usualy alloy wheels)
Bit of a coincidence with that sign above the shop !!
