Must be awesome to see all that exotica but does anyone else think its getting a bit silly with their blatant disregard for traffic laws etc, parking where they want, sticking 3ft out in the road, on junctions etc etc. Imagine if there was some major incident nearby, emergency vehicles would have issues getting access what with all the normal traffic mixed in there too
most of them have dubai etc number plates so they do what they want, its not like any ones going to do them as if you call the police you would say the number plate is ~'~3~5'

if i had the money id regester my car in dubai tommorow

I've seen most of the Arab registered cars you posted today. It was just insane on Hans Crescent tonight! I had to laugh when I watched an SLR722 and Veyron drive down the road, then saw an Enzo just round the corner. Out of this world!

Hi,

I'm going to do a largish post in a few minutes, just takes time to get them to photobucket. I was at Hans Crescent today, so.....maybe my paths crossed with a few of you? I'm always game to meet up and see some of this stuff, so do shout me.

I was talking to three chaps tonight - pistonheaders! - and we just watched a Veyron go round four or five times. Bizarre world.....Believe it was same one that was on the front of Top Gear magazine recently.
Also bumped into someone who was chatting about what 'some tigerkoi fella' was posting and came down to London to see for himself. How funny. I didn't let on.........Then I was parking the car, and I saw a chap with a camera surreptiously taking pics. I wandered past and went cough[pistonheads]cough, and the look on his face........
roflrofl Genius!!

I assume those few that you met shall be posting @ some point in this thread laugh

I hope so! It's always good to chat. I'm thinking of getting some stickers printed up for the Merc: "If you can read this, and you drive something exotic or rare, YOU'VE been spotted."

I'm doing an upload now....takes forever........

Just catching up on this excellent post - good work tigerkoi.

I saw a BMW 645 this week with an equivalent grille to the CLS above. Very odd. Plate was BMW 6L. Didn't manage any pics (had to pick my jaw back up) but guess others may have seen it/ know about it.

kurthblythman - excellent pictures by the way. You're a great photographer.

AndWhy - a 645? God that makes me sad. Is it anything like the Hartge 645 (google that for pic), do you remember?

Sleep envy - tog?....?

Dick Dastardly - most certainly.

J111 - Didn't Abramovich give one to Jose Mourinho?

AndrewW-G - phew! I knew you'd be on that, so brushed up on my resarch wink

outnumbered - I've walked past there a few times recently and have wondered about the sign myself! The main logo font is very similar isn't it. tut tut...

v15ben - different world. Removed from normal life.....

ironictwist - smile

sstein - I hope it holds up!

The Doc - Ha, I prefer 'inspirational'!

WRT sleep envy's comment, I think "tog" is meant to ask if you're a phoTOGrapher.

As for the 645, yes, similar to the Hartge. Didn't get a good enough look to be certain that's what I saw though - my recollection is that the grille was even more obscene. Colour was unflattering too - metallic beige, hmmm.

Serious question here, what happens when one of these cars with funny arab number plates hits you? Do they have insurance of some sort, their plates seem illegible.

I'm afraid I'm going to piss on your bonfire slightly paperbag

Date of Liability 01 07 2009
Date of First Registration 16 06 2004
Year of Manufacture 2004
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 5980CC
CO2 Emissions 357g/Km
Fuel Type Petrol
Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status Licence Not Due
Vehicle Colour BLACK
Vehicle Type Approval M1

It's 'merely' an '04 CL65 that has the misfortune to be owned by someone who perceives himself to have a sense of humour. Still a £60k car, of course.
That CL does have VAETH tailpipes and brakes calipers (yellow being their main colour). They are a tuner renouned for their engine enlargements. I'm not sure if they've bored the 6.0 Bi-turbo to 6.9 litres, but they do have a tuning programme for the 65 AMGs. So it could be possible scratchchin

WRT to the Chrome Murcielago, I had a closer look round it at the hotel where the owner is currently living. Unsurprisingly it is also a Hamann special! I will post up the photos that I took over the weekend on a new thread when I get chance to upload them all!

I wouldn't smile I would register it somewhere nearer with similar car tax rules - like Andorra (non EU) , or somewhere exotic like Vanuatu (former French colony)
