Long may the 335 phenomenon continue I say, it's provoked much hilarity.

I don't know why though, there's nothing cooler than a chipped repmobile scratchchin

Thats what the Bug needs, ditch the useless, underpowered standard engine and drop in a 'mapped' 335d one

How fast would that be?

Ok,

Just out of interest, I keep reading:

"It's not as good as a 335d"

"But can it keep up with a 335d?"

"The benchmark for all cars, is a 335d".

Have I missed something in the last few weeks?

I guess because it's probably the first or at least the best or fastest mainstream diesel yet.

It's also fairly affordable in the grand arena of cars and being BMW many like it and will have one.

Personally I don't think it's all that. Yes it's ver good but I see it more of a hint of what is yet to come.

Bless him though - he's so deadly serious about a tenth of a second here or there - he really thinks it matters and quotes them religiously without a hint of humour or irony.

Having had a quick look at his profile, it claims his 335d is costing £738 a month in depreciation, so that's another thing it does better than a supercar! tongue out

I see.

It all becomes clear.

I'm sure it's a great car for its class, but - how can you compare fun purely on a few tenths of a second in a straight line?

That TTS 'review' was very amusing!

I had better get on and do some work now ...

To be fair, Data remapped the enterprise, so it's a fair comparison.

The Enterprise, like the 335d, is also slow off the mark, but with a rolling start it's very impressive. 0 to another galaxy in just a few seconds.

I think the guy is dbx335d, he's always comparing his mapped 335d to various things like a Murcie Roadster or a Porsche, saying that it would slaughter them both hehe

Which of course it would.
With the rear seats folded down of course.

Reckon it's Twincam using an alter ego, years of piss taking meant Twinners more recent comments have often gone unnoticed and just plain ignored; however a new profile and new line of attack (still talking ste but trying to not mention Pininfarina for fear of making it too obvious) and ooo lookey a new PH cult cretin in the making biggrin I think we should invite Bruciebabe back as his Nemasis, imagine the for and against BMW spattage that would create.
