Yes, this has been on the property prawn thread where someone identified the chap who is selling.

Fact is this used to be a thread about garages owned by people on Pistonheads, that was great because you could then chat about their cabinets, floor covering and even their selection of cars. I think it got stale when people simple went to Google and found a huge underfloor showroom garage stuffed full of someone's investment collection and posted a picture.

Any chance of getting back to people actually posting about their own garage? scratchchin

This is the most successful thread I have ever started. Can we please keep it about Pistonhead members garages only as that was the intention from the start

I see your point. However, how can you be 100% he isn't on PH?
So you'd have to say - only post up your own garage.

Been in the new gaff for just over a year, so got round to sort out the garage. Wood frame 3.5 bay jobbie with a room above. I'll have to dig out the starting point as it originally only had doors on one bay and an internal wall dividing the workshop from the open bays.
So remove this wall and replace with additional post

Add ceiling

Ply line and add a few electric points

Frame painted black and the screws all treated and joints taped

1 coat

And painted and new lights.

Reused the old kitchen units as these were good enough and saved a chunk of cash

Lawn tractor enjoys the space!

MX5 track car home

Added LED lights and the Morgan is back

Painting the old kitchen units Grey and black, then PVC tile floor to go....then Automemrobillia/junk/art

Reusing kitchen cabinets is sensible. I'm not so sure about the lights though.

Having put all that time and effort into a good looking garage I don't think kitchen cabinets make any sense at all, especially in that style.

Good point - although you can buy proper steel garage cabinets for somewhat less than Poggenpohl smile

The kitchen units were already installed when we moved in, ripping out to spend more cash on essentially the same when they were in excellent nick was a luxury i could not/did not want to afford. Once painted black with silver handles and grey cabinets the "country kitchen" look will disappear.
