Wow! The things women do to encourage us blokes to do the washing up? Like putting a sink in the room you spend the most time? biggrin
Ha ha! I won't let her in there to do the washing up, SWMBO's room is through that door you are looking at biggrin

Not as salubrious as many here, but also much less expensive, I converted an old greenhouse 34' X20' to a sheltered area for 4 cars. It is dry, & almost dust proof, cool & very bright. There is almost as much light as out in the sun.

The material is Hypalon, the stuff used for "rubber" boats, & is very tough. It lasts over 15 years in canopies & awnings on tourist boats in the Oz tropics.

All up, with a 5" bitumen floor it cost $5,000 against over $18,000 for a tin shed.

The Honda & the Oz built Capri 2+2.

The view out.

Much as I admire some of the beautiful set ups some have built, I can't afford the cars, & somewhere expensive to keep them, so I'm pretty pleased with this.

Not sure if this has been posted in the past but it's pretty amazing, try and ignore how American it is and the fact there really aren't any decent cars stored in the garage it's self, but what a structure

What a fantastic garage. Twenty five dollars to retrieve a car though yikes though, guess it's affordable all things considered. A lovely collection of motorbikes, just a pity most are never used. frown

Probably not on this thread because, as the title suggests, it's about garages owned by people on Pistonhead not just any old garage on youtube. wink

Plus the selection of cars he had in the underground part were truly boring and pitiful. What a waste of a potentially goo garage.

OK this isn't as grand as most on here But I like it

I semi retired in 2011 I've been putting up a Garage at my house to house a Project car for 2013.
I've been sidetracked due to getting a Job Febuary frown well got my 4rse into gear and it's nearly finnished.

I fitted in all the Electrics and a Alarm system. Also fitted a Car alarm with remote locking units to unlock Auto-lock the doors. biggrin

The Prefab concreter garage was either VERY hot or VERY cold. I put up insulation covered it with OSB board. Also fitted 80% Window tints.
I then fitted my Old kitchen cupoards. The wooden handles sprayed yellow and the rest wrapped blue. To finnish the look off some whole car graphic's of fleabay £29. The fidge is also suitably topped up tongue out
The metal work bench thats sprayed Blue as is an old Red tool chest thats fitted into it. Worktops needed to be strong and got some beech solid 40mm block cheap off fleabay. At least now good stong so vice wont fall off

The Floor is red 2 part Resin paint which has sealed the floor ish wink But as you can see I'm going for a PVC Tiled floor covering to finish it off.

I think either a blue or yellow floor will be toooo much. Black and white chequer either hard to clean or never find what I've dropped.

Tony

Very nice job indeed. Personally I'd go with a plain grey floor with that much colour elsewhere...

Genuine question, it appears to run the entire length of your neighbour's garden, were they pissed off at having a garage to look at instead of a garden fence?

Under British la, you aren't entitled to a view. If it's on your property and complies with planning laws, then you can have it. A neighbours visual emenity is not taken into consideration.

Instead of building yourself a ManCave. You've gone and built yourself a ManTent.

Like it thumbup thinking outside the box.
