Right, lets try again with Photobucket then!
Only finished doing up my garage about a month ago. Won't win any prizes as there are better garages on here, but I'm very pleased with the result. Managed to seal it tight so the dehumidifier easily keeps it below 50% RH at all times. It's a nice place to be now
Got plenty of grief from some of my mates for fitting carpet and coving - but it was worth it
Hope they work better this time

Well the cabinets I have are called newage on the garage pride website and on the costco website. All I know is I'm happy with them for the money for my budget. Do you have a if of your garage Bertie?
Yes, the Newage stuff looks the same I agree, and looks good, better that my older Costco stuff. As I say, I was comparing to the Dura Genius I had off GP.
I've not got a pic here of mine, but I posted it earlier in the thread I'm sure.

No problem. I'm always looking for garage ideas but didn't fancy looking through 170 odd pages. I looked at the dura stuff as well but being on a budget I had to go with costco. Dura do look a better I have to admit.
I'd look through all 170 pages. This is one of the best threads on PHrichelli said:

External pic in todays lovely weather!
Previous pic was down inside one leg.
In the centre I've got a recessed scissor lift and need to get some storage sorted.
Also in centre section there's an inside loo and a sink area, there's also an outside loo, you can never have too many!

That's not a garage that's a house with no rooms! Awesome garage!
Thanks, I've always wanted a really nice timber framed garage, so when the opportunity came up to acquire some fields next to the house with some crap outbuilding on it, I bought it, demolished them and built this. It's pretty much perfect for me, glad you like it.
I ought to get some better pics now it's completed.

With an up and over, you need to leave space outside for it open, which can be a pain if you have a short drive like I do. Sectional and Roller don't suffer from that. I think up and over ones are draughty too. Big plus of a roller is it doesn't take up headroom in your garage, which could be handy should you want a lift for example.
More of my ex garage .... A ten x five bagster filled with rubble, bricks, rotten timbers, old roof shingles and general crap!!
It's magic that I can book a pick up for a given date and put out the bagster the night before and it not annoy the neighbours!
I now seem to have a basically waterproof garage that won't fall down for a decent period of time

Anyone got any advice on garage doors? What are the pros / cons of the up and over style vs the roller shutter type?
I would agree that the standard up and over doors are not the best at keeping the outside well outside. As you end up with a gap all the way round and as been said they take up room as they open. I have just moved house and started to tidy up the garage, but was over the moon to find the garage was fitted with a electric sectional door from these guys www.hormann.co.uk it is insulated and when closed is totally sealed, so well in fact that when I pressure washed the outside of the door no water got into the inside of the garage
