Is that a Christen Eagle parked outside? Yours? If so I'm unbelievably jealous. Gorgeous planes.

I think my garage definitely falls into the 'sterile' category :-)

I like the 'sterile' look. Where did you get the LED lighting from? The 'wall wash' lights look great
The wall washers are Aurora, similar to this: http://www.electrical2go.co.uk/aurora-35w-rectangu...

and I used these twin-spot downlight fittings: http://www.ukelectricalsupplies.com/aurora-lightin...

And finally, GU10 LED bulbs from Sylvania: http://www.havells-sylvania.com/en/press-centre/sy...

The GU10 LED bulbs are awesome, 450lm which Sylvania claim are equal to a 65w halogen.

Very nice, look forward to reading about the build.
You should also update us on the cars... What's changed, what's staying and why

All my cars are staying (as below) and the Gt3RS is the first of 8 new cars to join the list as soon as I find what I want. I may swap the Indy for a Lotus Two Eleven or an Atom but I'm undecided as I've virtually rebuilt it over the last 2 years and I think I'll regret selling it if I do. I'm a sentimental bugger when it comes to cars!

2014 Ferrari 458 Spider
2012 Porsche 981S
2014 Mercedes GL AMG Line
2015 Mercedes GLA AMG Line
2008 E92 M3
2010 MK Indy R R1
1964 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint 1300
1930 Ford Model A Phaeton
2011 Porsche GT3RS Gen2

Here are some of them in a group shot last summer (any excuse eh ;-) )

And the Fez in the Alps in August with friends just to show they aint always shiny!

As it stands my long list of new additions list includes a Porsche 356 Coupe, Lotus Esprit V8, 430 Scuderia or possibly a 458 Speciale, 964 of some description, 205 1.9Gti or Mk1 Golf, Sagaris, Mk1 Cooper S, Volvo P1800s, Mercedes SL 190, Alfa Montreal, various modern classic Ferrari (355 and just before era) and a few oddballs like a Honda S800. I'm considering a modified classic build too. I've also been eyeing up the rally prepped Mk1 Escort they have at Cheshire Classic cars but I'm not sure I can bring myself to sink £80k into an Escort.

Dunno for sure, hard to say till I stand and look at things. For now I've seen a really nice Lotus Esprit V8 I'm going to try and see for a second time before the weekend.

Garage build starts next week so as usual, Im getting ahead of myself. Clearing the land and ground works this month and the build proper starts early February. I'll take plenty of photos.

Someone on another thread asked me about the garage build so here are some (rough) photos of the plans....each bay will have a 4 post lift as per the main garage far right bay(as shown in the pic).

I have a good contact if you want a Mk1 Escort inspected! Do you want a competition car, or a very Mk1?

I've just bought an RS2000 myself! smile

Boy is it slow! frown

They are the most exquisite hand drawn plans I think I've ever seen! Does your architect paint Picassos in their spare time? wink

Is this build extra to the garage space you have already? (might be me being thick)

Lol, thanks for the replies guys.

Adoption - sorry gents, unless you're 5'10", blonde and female, not happening. Even then, Mrs Leg says no!

Money - had a successful Cloud Software business which I sold in April. Multipliers on Cloud businesses are a bit daft right now so happy days. I'm doing the work out period as we speak! :-) Plenty of people on PH waaaaaay better off than me. I dream of GTOs and La Ferraris! Oh for the love of Christ do I want a 250 GT Lusso but, I cant justify all that on one car.

Visits - When its finished I'm inviting my car friends round and organising food etc, I'll try and remember to invite you! Remind me!

Garage space - extra. I get 5 cars in that 3 bay. The Indy is in my BJ RaceTransporter for the moment and the GT3RS is still at the dealers. The Mercs live outside.

Hilarity and jokes aside...here's a serious question.

I've got a few cars but I really struggle to justify having more in my own mind.
A combination of work and children means that individually don't get much use.
Some can sit for weeks between uses and / or I can go a few weeks with just driving to and from work, nothing special, and that feels wrong.

You've got more than me, and a lot more on the cards, so how do you resolve that or does it just not bother you?

Congrats on the biz deal btw. I'm currently working on a large transition to SalesForce project, the clients having to pay big money! smile

I'm guessing that a collection the size of Legs is a balance between ownership, enjoyment and investment properties.

Could be wrong though.

Amazing collection and amazing garage. This is something I dream of owning one day!

I'm also in York, roughly what part? I understand if you wouldn't want to give too much away!
