Bearing in mind it's your head underneath, and Chinese levels of safety above... I prefer something with dual platforms, locks and dual rams.

I always thought Strongman Tools stuff was made in the UK but looks like it is also made elsewhere but they don't say where so probably also China. http://sm-t.co.uk/product/chepstow/

Maybe they do manufacture in the UK, maybe not, I don't know.

It doesn't say manufactured in UK, and the wording of statement on CE certification tends to make me think they are imported, but I don't know.

I looked at a lot and almost all look identical apart from colours and branding, and when my one arrived it had originated in China.

Some on the alignment and castings of the locks were quite shonky.

Not saying it's dangerous or I wouldn't use it, but it's not precision engineering!

This was mine when I first moved in and had a chance to do something before filling it with cars bikes and junk!

Does anyone know where I can purchase the coin top garage flooring roll but to be made to a custom size (8ft W x 16ft L). Id prefer a one piece roll rather than have to join 2 piece together.

Has any one ordered a made to measure piece before?

I bought mine from this company, at around that price. Best bit of kit I have ever bought :-)

Happy with mine. Very sturdy. With separate pneumatic and hydraulic safety circuits
I went to Cannock to pick it up, the chaps were helpful.
Although getting 600kgs off the trailer without a fork lift was challenging!

Morgan is for sale as new one coming!

I had to swap around as I have 2 Italians in there and it was the only way to get all 3 in with the 4 motorbikes. Behind the Morgan is my '64 Lancia Flavia Vignale Convertible with a Yamaha XVZ1300TF next to it. Next to the Morgan is a Yamaha XVS650 with a Honda CRF250 squashed in front of the Yamaha and next to the Ferrari is a '61 Triumph Trophy TR6R

(it's not quite finished - more painting to be done)
Can I ask where you sourced the storage units?

They're kitchen units from Howdens (nothing heavy or dirty is getting near them laugh )

I priced up in kitchen cabinets and in Dura New age and there was very little difference.

So I went Dura and I'm pleased I did.

Boinging this thread because:

a) It's full of inspiration

and

b) Costco have an offer on at the moment for the New Age Pro series which is very very competitive compared to the likes of Garage Pride

Cheap and functional : Big Doug

But I tend to buy used commercial stuff from Ebay as it's much stronger and faster to re configure.

Another vote for Big Dug racking.

In answer to the original question on the thread I think _Leg_ has the best garage on Pistonheads!

I had a look at the costco stuff last week

Not cheap but seems to be made of actual girders - if you needed heavy storage this looks line it would do it

Some of these garages are immense, and the cars fantastic, I also have a tricky choice on what to drive/ride every day. Although one of them is pretty much dry summer weekends only!

Slowly getting there after a new lease of life rediscovering this thread few weeks back.
This place was such a tip. (Will look for pics)!
Converted a single garage to a double as we had a store next to it, separated by a block wall (you can make out where the old wall was on the floor on the left.
Carpet-like stuff to put on lower walls for door-saving, floor to paint, and bit of sorting in the cupboards.
Will try and get it finished in the next few weeks and update.

How have you got those bikes secured back there?

Am in need of something similar as space it quite tight in my garage.
