Do you have a golf buggy?

Maybe not 50m, I'll pace it out at lunch and report back!

Just checked on google Maps...33m
33m, you could leopard crawl that.

I sometimes do...

Just a quick question aboiut flooring. I've wanted a white marble floor ever since I saw the McLaren garage at Silverstone, but will it be too pourous - nasty oil stains etc. I expect I'd be better of using a good ceramic (like car dealer showrooms), but the price isn't that different.

Wondering if anyone has any actual experience of marble floors under cars.
I'm not sure they would be using marble but likely to be a decent porcelain tile (don't use ceramic as it's more brittle)

Here's mine still in progress...

I tested the tiles by taking some brake grease off a transit van, oil and other crap and left it on the sample tile for 48hrs... it easily just wiped off so that's good enough for me.

Few bits left to do before painting, lights are in and look awesome!

Still working out if my man maths can justify some dura cabinets cloud9

That looks great MrC. Got any more details on the lights? Could always do with more light ...

Agreed on the porcelain tiles. I've just redone my bathroom with some and they are incredibly difficult to crack - if not impossible,

ah, no grease, no spanners no tools and the vice looks like it's never been used biglaugh
You've made countless posts on tthis thread commenting on every garage that looks too showroomy for your taste - always something along the lines of the above. We get it, you think a garage should be dirty and full of tools.
And...?
Haha, I can see where Rich is coming from, some of these garages are absolutely immaculate & inspiring, dare I say it some are cleaner than my house.

To add balance I'd post a few pictures of my garage stuffed full of car parts, tools, bikes, about 20 sets of alloys an such like but the door frame has swollen so much over winter I can't open the bloody door!

Both epic cars the 488 is slightly quicker of course but not by as much as you would think, very linear power delivery with the turbos but i still prefer to drive the 458.

Interesting, and makes me happy I decided to keep my 458 Spider, prices seem to be holding well on 458 too.

Wow, never expected an increase, just though they'd slowed and hopefully maybe flattened out!

Just seen this thread, here's my rebuilt garage last year.

Decided it extend it by a metre and raise it by 11" to accommodate the roller door plus a shallow pit for a scissor lift.

Insulated with 3" boards and lined with 18mm ply, painted in Gulf colours or as near as from B&Q

Roll cabs and cupboards in and a couple of decals and metal signs on the walls.

Car installed and ready to be worked on.

New decal of GT40 which I'm looking at as my next build
