RE: Aston Martin V8 N400 Roadster
Discussion
The only thing I like about this car over the standard V8 Roadster is the extra 20bhp and uprated suspension. I'm not keen on the rear lights, the the red lenses and body colour strip on the standard car look better.
I also think the badges look a bit naff on a car like this and I agree with the previous comment that the wheel look aftermarket, not that nice IMO.

Tacky for an Aston..
P,
+1 Agree!P,
None of this seems 'right' somehow?
1) N400? Whether they're dreaming or not on that lap-time...Should it carry that 'name'?...It's an Aston Martin!
2)'Ring Badge on it?...But it's an Aston Martin!
3)Colour?..Well, maybe on certain cars...But it's an Aston Martin!
It might be a good car...but it's a bad marketing exercise.
Ultimately, I think this car does the marque no favours at all. Au contraire...whichever marketing person is behind this idea should rightly get their bottom spanked!

Check the above thread for some much better shots of the N400 coupe in this colour...
I really like it (although doubt I would choose it). I think it appears to be a bit like Zanzibar (Mk1 GT3's) and although that is probably also another marmite colour.
The rear lights maybe a bit bling but the sill extensions look great to my eyes..

Its a nice car and all, but at that price it is getting into dangerous territory.
And yes, as much as I am a big fan of the Nurburgring, I don't like seeing Aston Martin's being plastered with badges everywhere. The Ring is cool, but it shouldn't need to be used to highlight a cars presence and power like that.

and colour, your right with the zanzibar thing
and in hardtop form it looks awesome
maybe there are wheel options and badge deletion options
still cant get to grips with the lights and the silver bar as the guys in that other thread mention
"The ‘400’ completing the moniker stands for the number of seconds it takes this car to lap the Nurburgring."
As far as I can calculate, 400 secs, that should be erhm.... 6 min. 40 secs... Bit of a bolt statement, isn't it, given the Radical SR1500 Turbo (fatsest road going car to date) went round in 7 minutes 12 secs, and the fact that the fastest lap on the Ring recorded is set by Stefan Bellof 1983 with his Group C Porsche during practice in 6:11 min on Nordschleife with 20,832 km distance...

I have only just read this thread and become aware of the 'ring' version.
The parking space next to mine at my flat has a black 08 coupe version in it, hardly ever moves. It looks fantastic and the rear lights suit it IMO. It was only yesterday i noticed the small nurburgring badge to the left of 'vantage' and wondered what it was.

Is it just me or does 400hp sound a bit... well... slow?
I think Aston Martins are amazing cars, i think the DBS is possibly one of the most amazing looking cars of all time. But with all this technical knowledge and large engines, why can't they get more power than a £7 grand modified skyline?
I know AM's are about the ride, handling, build quality yada yada yada... but really. 400hp vs £105 grand? Getting blown away by an E46 M5 costing a fifth of the price would really bug the hell out of me.
Or am i just missing the point?

Totally missing the point, Aston's are not for ragging it around it's more of an occasion to drive it, it's hard to explain until you get in one.I think Aston Martins are amazing cars, i think the DBS is possibly one of the most amazing looking cars of all time.
