here here, everywhere I went in my 'slow' 2.5 it just gave such pleasure to everyone - it was a joy to own, and a very very special driving experience... i miss it massively

I sold my original 3R through lack of use after a year, the day it left my driveway I realised what a mistake I'd made, and spent 6 months finding another one, with the vow of using it everyday.17,000 miles later in my M400, it was the best motoring decision I've ever made.Astonishing performance, sublime handling, half decent build, zero badge snobbery and yet snaps knicker elastic from 200 yds. Acar everyone should try and own at least once.It will be a huge, huge wrench to let it go next year when the GTR arrives.

The rule book was thrown out of the window when this car was designed.

If you are thinking of buying a car, drive down to one of the dealerships and just take one out for a test drivesmile

Dont worry about spare parts etc, they are all very easy to get hold of and there are many dealers who service these cars.

And have a look what a 3R with a similar engine does to a Gallardo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEwZLAJ16rU

I might have neglected to say that I'd changed a couple of things beforehand...
Couldn't believe how well that Roush-tuned one held onto the CGT in your other movie. Top stuff. Cheers.
t's gained 130 lbs of torque and 70 bhp since then

Wikipedia said:
Noble Automotive Ltd., more commonly known simply as Noble, is a British sports car manufacturer.

It was established, in 1999, by Lee Noble in Barwell, Leicestershire, for producing high-speed sports cars with a MR drivetrain layout. Lee Noble was the chief designer and owner of Noble. He sold the company in August of 2006. He was dismissed for gross misconduct in February, 2008.
So what's that all about, then? Someone must have more information? For me, if Noble are still going, but lacking their key superstar, the end must be nigh, no?

Fantastic car, was lucky enough to have one identical to this, was at Brands for the inaugural Noble Owners Club track day, Noble looked set for world domination back then, lets hope the M15 see's the light of day soon and that Noble Automotive have an equally as talented chassis designer now Lee has departed, he was crucial to the M12's success.

It wasn't just an outrageous looking road/race car but a stunning driving experience as well. It's a real shame they couldn't have kept the momentum going..

Aren't you confusing that with the 0-60 mph time? And from what I've seen of most beemer drivers would need a map to get around any ring?

Yes of course I own a Noble.

I fully concur with K1 Cerb, always worth a rant. (Shouldn't lower yourself an all that but boy I feel better)

I don't own one, but have driven an M400 a lot on track. I agree with most of the sentiments here, it really is an amazing car. Every time I see one drive past I can't help but grin, same can be said with the acceleration as well, every time the pedal is pushed to the floor I start laughing at how ridiculously fast it is. As for the cornering, it is simply perfection (especially with just a liiiiiitle bit of camber put on wink).

I really hope there will still some around in decades to come so I can purchase one to reminisce.

That's a good articule, I have a 3R, I orginally bought the GTO3 then upgraded a year later to the 3R, they are wicked cars, I love mine, I was going to sell it this year and buy a 911, but when i test drove it, I thought it was boring, no feel and it cant go round corners like the Noble can. God knows what I am going to buy next, the value for money on a Noble is no contest...

PPS, I find it funny that some BMW drivers think they can beat me, I used to own a M3 and that could not keep up, your going to have to stop smoking that wacky backy and go and test drive a Noble, then you will really see.
