Are you sure, I moved house July last year the issue date is July last year, expiry is 4 years away.

I thought change of address got you a new one?(like when you lose a debit card) Or do they just issue a new card with the change of address but expiry stays the same?

Most people move house more often than every ten years. And exchanging a licence for change of address is free.

However mine's got June 11 on it - I only moved last Feb. Sods.

They issue a new card with the old expiry date.

I moved house a few years ago and got a new card. The expiry date is 10 years from the first time I got a photocard license.

If you have a digital camera and a printer then just use that.

I've got a "green counterpart" but I presume you lucky chaps have a green licence?

My counterpart states I'm good for another few decades but then so does the back of my new plastic tax card.

Just looked at mine, it expires 09/2010. This is a real bd as I then have to renew it again on my birthday in 2011 when I need a new medical for my C and C+E part. I can't remember if I have to pay for the 2011 one though, no doubt I will.

I'm an old git but have a new style licence so can still drive the same things as you as I passed my test in 1975

I belive it is 5 years, tho some insurers only ask back to 3 years

Four years but only in force for three although insurance companies ask for five year history. I think DD endorsments are ten years and on your licence for eleven

Another good reason NOT to go for the card licence.

£17 odd for plastic card renewal? thats a bit expensive
