I agree. A SLR is in terms of design just a tarted up SL. "Pimp up my ride" springs to mind. It is not a McLaren.

The F1, however, is a truely outstanding and timeless design. Very well balanced with an interesting line work. Replace the dated tail lights with something similar to the ones of a Ford GT and you have a contemporary supercar! A true McLaren.
