scrap van value
Discussion
Down to £15 per tonne at my local yard two weeks ago. Came as a nasty shock when I weighed in a Range Rover and got £40, rather than the £2-300 I was expecting.
The high prices of the summer were driven by demand from China, and China has just said "No more thank, we're full". Bloke at the yard reckoned he may have to go back to charging to take cars if it carries on like this.
But there are the scrap metal experts on PH who can give you the definitive answer.
Mel!

Hopefully the pikeys will now stop stealing everypiece of metal they can lay their hands on, and go back to shodily tarmacing drives.
They can keep attempting to steal powerlines though. The news reports afterward amuse me.
Yeah I heard that they were actually stealing man-hole covers round here They can keep attempting to steal powerlines though. The news reports afterward amuse me.
Just how dangerous is that? If I saw a Pikeee trying to prise one up in the middle of a roundabout he would be roadkill by the 3rd time round
