I think now could be a good time to call in the Klassiekerrally members, just to add a little chrome, burnt oil, leather and burr wallnut flavour to the DSR. What do you think Albert?
Maybe wait for another week, I'm working out details with Joop! this thursday.Alex: We're in small groups anyway. I don't see the problem. Only the A'bahn Run could cause a little stir. I think we will stay at different hotels since we're too big a group to pack up in one place.
CBR was over a 100 cars eh? Being loud on one parking . . . :scratching:
Just sorted out the routes for both days with Joop! this evening, will have to dive into a few bits but it is looking very promising. I'll organise the food 'n beverage bit next week. A few hotels . . .
. . . Sunday early morningstart 30 mins from the Abahn to warm up things before the PH-shootout.
Shirt with print design next week me thinks. First week of January I'll ask you guys to subscribe me via mail to get a list of serious DSRers. Only mail from then on
A satisfied Dink here. Thanx Joop!
ETA: I can't spell!

I've added my name too. I enjoyed last year with the variety of the museums, restaurants and the Dutch hospitality. If possible would be good to get a few more spirited driving roads into the mix too. Oh and please organise the weather again too !
Cheers David, next DSR you'll be looking at well over 500 kms of rural road including a bit of Autobahn in the sunday early morning. For the speedfreax I've the suggestion to split up AFTER that and hoon up to the 'Ring to get you piece of spirited driving. You guys will arrive well befor the gate opens. It's about an hours drive - or less when you're in an Ultima-something - after our split-up-point.
Note: the DSR09 is not a race. Look at it as a meet 'n greet 'n eat weekend driving through the variety of Dutch landscapes and enjoy / discuss eachothers cars. No museums this time.
Hope the list won't fall apart now!
Indeed, I'm thinking lunch then.
But: the much talked over BBQ comes to mind again . . .
What could we do on the meadow with 50 cars and max. 100 peeps?
Or is this a mission impossible? Tom has to agree of course.
Leave the place then in the afternoon: no need for dinner anymore and the Veluwe woods will be 'quiet' to hoon up to the finishline.
Just a thought.

I enjoyed them. How about visiting that chap that has the collection of unsual cars including an old Bentley I think?Hope the list won't fall apart now!
Or maybe he wants to join in with his Meteor-engined Bent. Believe it or not: that monster is roadlegal.

"De Gulle Waard" looks promising too, but isn't it to early on the road?
The GW looks like an excellent lunchspot to me! I've seen it before. In the Mediterranean countries the peeps enjoy their lunches hot : ping! :
. . . and that appeals to me. What also appeals to me is 'taking off' a bit later in the afternoon and have a 8 / 9 o'clock tapas-meal back in Leusden. The roads back 'home' will be a bit quiter also, which is good.
STATUS UPDATE
Hi all, we're in the process of finalizing the route and organising appropriate catering.
To inform the hotels for the two days (friday and saturday) I need to have final numbers to work with.
Please will all who are serious about this weekend PM me before January 7th?
I'll put you on the def-list then.
I'll also send a mailing to all friends and previous DSRers this weekend.
Should be good fun this one!
Best wishes, A.

The list is growing guys, cheers for that.
Please PM if this fits your diary and you're about 100% certain to join in on this one. I'll put you down if you do for I need your mailadress. Then expect a mail next weekend containing all the details and the stuff YOU need to arrange / book.
Hotels (including safe-parking) are informed, saturday lunch will be sorted monday, Joop! is working on the sunday lunch which looks promising. I'm happy so far.
Tomorrow I'll have a chat with the restaurant chef for our final DSR09-dinner on the sunday: he was a bit frightend to get over 60 guys in. But he'll make me a nice offer.
Parking might be a bit so-so here but believe me: the food is more than excellent if you are into tapas. From there it's 45 mins to Amsterdam, 75 to Hook, etc.
For those who've bumped into this topic just now: read page one for the status update.
Happy 2009 all!

To all on the def-list: you've had mail - with 4 pg att. - last evening, containing most details.
Please bark to me if it didn't reach you or if you have any questions.
From now on it's info via mail only.
It might be cool to have a convoy from those who come from the UK.
Cheers, A.
