Not £4995, not even £3995, just £2995 bounce

1999 BMW 528i SE 76,000 miles FSH full black leather, even got a BMW phone biggrin

Drives a bloody treat, I can't believe how much car you can get for the money. I may have to clean it this afternoon, even if it's chucking it down biggrin

Nice, hope Nikasil isn't an issue, always my worry with these 2.8's.

'99 cars should be fine for Nikasil.

Nice

What GW said re. Nikasil bores (pun intended). Plus, more importantly, it 9 years old with 76k up - any problems would likely have done for it before now wink

Not on modern low sulpher fuels, and at 9 years old if it had an issue it would have shown itself by now.

ETA: £3k is mega cheap for a nice BM.

I'd figured a car of that age would either have had a new engine or be fine. Didn't know 99 cars were unaffected either. Do now, hope when I'm looking for a cheap car I can find anything half as good as that.
Still one of the best saloon cars ever made IMO.

Having read up I figured if it's still going it'll be fine biggrin

It's going into BMW on Thursday for a full inspection and service and I'm sure they'll go over her with a fine tooth comb looking for extra work so I will know what to fix, what to ignore and what to let them do.

Sure is a lot of car for the money. I saw some right dogs for considerably more money before I found that one.

Too right. I fail to get excited about it.

No I'm not 'falling' for anything, and I sure as hell wouldn't piss on Brown if he was on fire. I'd consider it if he wasn't.

All the things I've listed above have nothing to do with the utter who runs our country, just the result of the mess that Bill Clinton (for the most part) and Brown has got us in to. Having said that, a drop from 111p to 92p is a big one and I'm not going to complain about that, or my mortgage coming down.

In fact, I've been regularly infuritated by his passing the blame onto anyone else but taking all the credit for stuff like falling oil prices. I REALLY hate that man.

Take back your cruel words!

I've just realised that the screen price of that car was £4995, yikes I know that on big prices 2-3k reductions are easy to get now but thats almost 50% off how the hell is the dealer going to make a living??

Well done though.
