I had multiple emails from the seller, Bill Noon, documenting the history of that car as well as the spares package it came with. Seems a bit of an odd one that car; a bit like #27R in the Cars International Kensington showroom = can't [easily and with Mclarens help] convert it for the road, no real race series for the car or 'blue chip' race history; a good track toy but thats about it

Flemke, is that your McLaren?

(sorry, I had to ask but then, I imagine that is what his engine bay is like on the occassional drive rather than having the poor thing stuck in a 'collection' somewhere).

I'm curious why the tight-arsed buggers couldn't be bothered to put the F1 logo on the throttle!

It could only be worn off if it were your car.
So, Flemke - is this your McLaren?

I'll say this: it has worn off more than my enthusiasm for driving the car has done.

Not that I was aware of at the time.

Sitting in this particular [ex-Japan] Mclaren, the drivers seat felt 'snug' around the bum and I could easily reach the pedals; The other I had sat in, my feet just about reached the pedals and I was stretching for the steering wheel, making quite an uncomfortable ride I imagined.
