Great informative posts.

In the current market, what would you expect a 2005 535d sport in a decent colour, with say 50K, to make?
Assuming you definitely mean 'Sport' rather than 'M Sport', probably around £13,500.

One of the traders will give you the current book price shortly too, I'm sure smile

Sport and M Sport are one in the same thing on a 5 series.

They book at £19k in the trade, still massively regarded so around £17-£18k I would think. Maybe a touch less with over average miles.

Ok. Maybe a little pedantry on my side and a poor choice of words on yours. Six of one etc.

[pedant]
One model became the other as part of a styling refresh; so rather than them being one and the same, they are differentiated by model years. So whilst you won't find them both available on the same plate generally, e.g. 54 or 06, the questioner asked about 2005 and you will find both models on a 55 plate. And they do look quite different!

I admit for the lay person it is confusing. I stand by my 'one in the same' definition. The upgraded the engine, from memory that was the only model year change at that point and even that wasn't the 535d. Rear light cluster changes occured (along with some new options) occured 2006.

If you use IVS (BMW's identification system), they changed them all retrospectively to be called M sports from launch onward.

Not that this has anything to do with the price of beans!! biggrin

Top work again on the auction front V8, can people please remember that these were not the actual prices, many were provisional. Having said that, December's Glasses is going to take another assraping so they might aswell down them now!!

2002 02 Lexus LS430 Auto. 48k. £6,300 provisional

Thank you ! Informative and sobering. LS430 probably has at least another 200k miles in it ...

Such an ugly car though. 1975 Toyota Crown with revised headlamps biggrin

I certainly couldn't live with one; no matter how luxurious the interior or how delightful the ride.

...the auctioneer's opinion that the highest bid is close enough to the reserve to warrant taking a deposit from the bidder and entering into a negotiation between vendor and bidder to try and seal a sale.

Doesn't that S2000 have the wrong wheels on it (from a much earlier model) ? It looks like it could be a v reg ?!

They are certainly different to the wheels on the 07 plate one (below) which also went through, but the black one was definitely sold as a 2008 car.

It's the light. Very poor under the canopy and reflections all over the place. There was nothing wrong with the paint.

2005 05 Audi A6 3.0 TDi Quattro SE Tip Auto,

Was also a suprise for me at Bridgewater a 2004 163 3.0 CDI step auto with about 50k sold for £5500, It looked a steal.
The trade must be avoiding these for some reason.
