Sometimes, only the most lavish and sumptuous standards are worth pursuing, and the Sapphire 2000E represents that philosophy. From the luxurious leather-covered seating in the air conditioned interior, 2000E motorists have a right to feel special. The impression is confirmed when the power is needed Brochure Pic

Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer. Another maker of overpriced outdoor clothing lends it's name to a shoddily-built off roader.
AMC Gremlin Levi's. Yep, real Levi's denim upholstery in AMC's spectacularly awful Gremlin hatch. At least denim doesn't rust, unlike the rest of the car!
Am I correct in thinking there was a VW Beetle 'Jeans' Edition too back in the 70's, that had a denim / or denim-styled interior????? AMC Gremlin Levi's. Yep, real Levi's denim upholstery in AMC's spectacularly awful Gremlin hatch. At least denim doesn't rust, unlike the rest of the car!

No, probably because it isn't a rare special edition or "tie-up".K50 DEL said:

They used one of those for the car that turned into the plane in The Man With The Golden Gun.
Are you sure? I thought that was an AMC Hornet?A red Hornet was used by Bond to chase the Matador. It's the one that jumps the bridge while rolling in mid air.

I started a thread on this subject ( different angle) at 16.24 I opened by saying i did not know if the subject of limited additions had been covered before. How ironic that if i had looked at 16.23 there was a reply to the original thread. My point is that with more expensive limited editions it is implied by the manufacturers that these models will hold or increase their price with the passage of time. The purchasors of the Alfa Romeo 8C must have been a little miffed when the company announced a spider version. Porsche are introducing a retro 911 with a nod to the 2.7RS. A £137,000 nod!! You could probably buy a 2.7RS for this money. As customers are we really that gullible or are there too many with money to burn?
