Callaway did a twin turbo Conversion kit in the eighties for the GTV6 - Lary doesn't even come into it!:

Currently there is someone selling a complete callaway conversion kit on Ebay USA I believe

Apart from the wing, which looks added on.

I'm going to start looking for one of those. Fanbloodytastic.

Zagato also did some :ahem: intereting work on the 348. They got so much right, predating the 355 and 360, but muntered the front end treatment. Still want one.

You've made think of another one:

The Rouse Sport Saph Cossie:

Ooooh, my father in law had one of those.

Until someone put it on a low-loader in a rail station carpark.

It was never seen again.

Heh. what a great caption for a 4 door family saloon with a few go-faster bits strapped on smile
I'm sure they're a bit more than that...

Weren't they 300bhp+ once Rouse Sport had got their hands on them?

The in-law's one was certainly dyno'd at around 330bhp anyway.

I recall various special editions of the MX5 mk 1 but in particular a vile green and orange diamond-festooned edition attributed to Benetton.
This one? Produced to celebrate Mazdas Le Mans entry.
Correction: It was to celebrate Mazda's win at Le Mans.

Callaway's speciality was, of course, Corvettes. They made a twin turbo version of the C4 but also made Speedsters which were gloriously impractical:

These are the more normal coupes:

I did have a Citroen AX GT500 which was pretty rare, can't find any pics, even online!
I had one of those as well - half leather seats and a nice metallic grey finish. I once received a telling off from a copper for having it as grey on the V5 when it was quite clearly black rolleyes
