Saw a nice E60 the other day, only with an M badge and an M5 rear plate.

Was a 535d, but why put the M5 plate on?

I saw a 525d the other day, badged up as an M5 even with a quad exhaust!

A variation on a theme yesterday was a courtesy car from MB Newbury. A bog standard C180:

Once saw a Mazda 929 estate with V8 badges on it. It had a Daimler Dart 2.5 V8 under the bonnet! TB

But it's not a bog standard C180, hence the AMG alloys and mats.

Such a shame Ford never put that Fiesta into production frown

Seeing as this thread got bumped, I parked a few cars down from a Pug 206 this afternoon. I'm guessing it was owned by a young girl due to the odd bits of pink interior trimming inside, and on the driver side door there was this custom badging:

I can only assume they're advertising themselves as JailBait. Either way, it was more concerning when a woman in her mid 40's came back to the car. Definitely not JailBait laugh I can only hope it was driving her daughters car laugh

Saw a reverse Partridge today. Second generation Vectra with one of these on the back:

Also had a V6, 2.8, and turbo badges as well but due to the age and small wheels not sure they were telling the truth.

It's a strange practice tbh

Smaller engine cars badged as higher engine ones usually don't have all the correct external body parts, and most certainly don't have the noise.

Bigger engine cars badged as smaller cars make the thing look a bit naff, can understand if police keep pulling you over or people try to race you though I suppose.

If it were me, I'd only consider completely de-badging the car.

Why would it not be telling the truth?

I don't get it. You've seen a Vectra with a Vauxhall badge on it?

Just spotted this in ASDA car park in Aberdeen.

Shame as it is a nice car (3.0 supercharged) but come on, they didn't even make a V10 in that shape!

It had the V10 badges on the front wings as well.

I never get stuff like this.

People who are into cars will know it's not a V10 & think "arse". People who aren't into cars wouldn't care less whether it says "V10" or "V110".

Bizarre.

And those exhaust pipes look terrible.

Big standard Fiesta spotted yesterday with full OTT stripes and Side Stripes with ST on them. Quite clearly not an ST.

There's also a 520d that parks near home that has an M5 badge on the back, and I've spotted a black Focus with a "TypeR" badge on it.

All seems a little silly to me!

The other day I saw a diesel Rover 75 estate with V8 badges on both sides + rear. I wasn't fooled.
