BMW do an e46 318 M Sport (as well as M Sport being a trim level on most other years/models), so not quite sure why an M sport badge would be 'misbadging'

No they didn't, by the time the Sport trim level was renamed M Sport the E46 saloon was out of production so the only M Sport E46's are Coupe's and Cabriolets.

Even if they did, i don't think they would have had 4 //M badges on them though hehe It was just a basic 318 with some rather dodgy mods attempting to go for the "look at my M3" look - especially the 4 x 5" exhaust tips - not sure I remember an M3 looking like that laugh

Bizarrely I saw an E60 5 Series with an M3 Badge on the back near Slough today. Ocassionally saw a bit of smoke from the exhaust so likely it was a 520d.

Why bother?

So essentially, you're saying:

"You are correct, they did make plenty of M Sport E46's, just not in 4-door saloons"

I'm not sure why you're seeking clarification of his very clear statement. If it'd been a coupe or carbiolet the poster would probably have said 318Ci.

It's too niche to have it's own thread, but I'd say it's just "over badged"

Have seen 3 of the now common Chrysler Bentley 300C recently but today the 2 I saw together were

stretched Funeral transport.

The Hearse had a "client" in the back and was followed by the [empty] car for the family.

In Epsom BTW.

I couldn't possibly make my final journey in a mis badged car.

My final trip will be in an AMG. A genuine one, hopefully mapped to at least 700bhp.

It's taking me a while to find the funeral director, though I may leave it to others and stipulate it in my will. Not my problem then, though if it's not adhered to I'll be back to complain... Oh, hang on

I noticed that too, they aren't offering the badge as a factory option are they?
