I'd say it looks typically over-restored as you see quite often in the USA. It needs a bit of "patina" (and I hate that word) IMHO.
Yup.A pity really...

Hey Flemke...dust off the 'ol cheque book and fire up the chopper (hee hee) I love that side profile.
This will fetch well over a million USD. A few solid - Bobileff - SVs have done already.just a shame they never did something about the muiras desire to become an aeroplane at anything over a hundred leptons lol i often thought in the past an automatic lowerable air scoop under the chin would have made it the unbridled success such a sex on wheels shape deserved, im sure Gandini would have been up to making it LOOK right ........ they might have even sold a few lmao

I dont like it
It still looks good mind, i just think it lost a bit of stance and the "aggressiveness" of that body line
I was thinking how much better it looked than a hardtop Miura, until you posted that. I think the convertible is beautiful, but you're right, it's lost some aggression. It still looks good mind, i just think it lost a bit of stance and the "aggressiveness" of that body line

"the priceless Miura Roadster was finally purchased by a New York property developer who..."
It obviously wasn't priceless then.
Personally, it wouldn't bother me too much if it came to an untimely end in a tunnel in Italy by hitting a bulldozer. I think I'm the only person in the world to think it looks stupid with its headlights pointing up in the sky. Oh well.
Is this the guy who got the first LP560-4? Can't remember his name.It obviously wasn't priceless then.

Obviously you have never saw one - or either - in the flesh: they are so different!
I beg to differ!!The first one I saw was in 1971 driving up Tower Bridge Road!
I was in my school blazer at the time, but can clearly remember it bouncing along all over the place!
The last one I saw was at Beauligh 2 years ago when a Dutch guy was trying to sell a rather rough looking example.
HE even took my friends offer of a swap for a Riva seriously!
The Mura was louded as "The first Mid Engined" real Super car????
IMHO No it was not!
The GT40 was and was designed by our lads here in good old Blighty!
THe GT40 was also supposed to be made as a road car in the form of the MK3. But that never made it.
But I do give it to the Italians for doing it though!
Just that it never handled, could not reach it's top speed, was atrocious to drive, BUT had everything a Rock Star needed back then!
Too many rose tinted specs me thinks!
