Whatever: a Miura and a Ford GT are toatally diffrent cars.
No - it was the meckanics who called it the GT40 and it has now been chisled into legend!
Apart fron the Dan Gurney car, where the said meckanics cut a hole in the roof and slapped a dome on it to fit his head in! GT42 that one! smile

I had a nice chat to the 1966 winning car owners at LMC in 2006!
Very nice Americans!

il bet that not one of the owners of this car ever took it out for a blast somewhere nice, never experienced the thrill of driving such a rare car quickly or had any passion for it other than to have it as part of a collection of other supercars that never got driven just locked up in a garage, pure sadness.

gotta say it though, looking at the pic of the yellow one is enough to make me start to cry.

Very nice but removing the roof does not add anything to its beautiful lines.
(I prefer it as a tin top personally)

4934 is my fav Miura at the moment:

"Auctioned by Brooks at their Geneva Auction in March 1997 and sold to actor Nicolas Cage for $490,000. Still owned by Nicolas Cage.

March 2000 - 4934 featured in Classic Cars magazine's Miura cover article. October 2000 - Filmed for BBC TV's Top Gear program, and driven extensively by Tiff Needell."
