ascari ecosse is a bit of a dog, but i seem to remember them doing ok in the british gt [F1 aside naturally]

agree on the 308gt4, always thought they'd make a cracking rally car. small, short, wheel at each corner
Funny you should call the Ascari a dog, it's proportions are wrong a bit like this....

Actually almost bought this one but ended up with a Tuscan instead. Marcos certainly have an individual style.

Shades of RS200???
it does look that way wink

They have a welded aluminium space frame chassis and a fibre glass body - powered by a nissan 2.0 with 185bhp - but at only 750kg they claimed it could hit 60 in 4.8 secs...

the ZZII on the other hand...

has the same chassis but the engine from a Skyline (tuned to 550bhp), 4WD and they claim it can hit over 200mph..
Loved driving that in Gran Turismo. Do you know if they sold any?

I always liked the Guara. I'm fairly sure there are one or two coupe owners on here.

The Zagato-styled Aston of the mid-late 80's has grown on me a lot over the years since it was in production too.

Not any more I’m afraid, its back home in its nice warm garage looking forward to some summer jaunts.

The car started life as silver and was changed I believe, it may get changed again one day

Didn't sell any as the engine wouldn't pass emissions requirements by the time he finally gave production the green light after many years of R&D. I'm under the impression he spent too long on small details to get it 'just right' and missed the boat completely. IIRC the R34 Nismo Z-Tune was the last production car to use the RB26DETT before rules and regs finaly called time on it.
Damma shame that.

so have you know got two?! 9looking in your profile).

i love these cars. i have no idea how good or bad they are but they're just so 'different'. a proper 'supercar'. is there much room in the cabin? that's what i have always wondered!

Definatly on my lottery win list.
+1!
+ another 1. That's the colour as well. Would be a great car for going to LM in.

No just the one, an ultra rare Pantera came available and I tried my hand at selling the Guara through DK Engineering (a charming bunch) but with nothing much going she is now back with me.
That said I know of the whereabouts of a Guara Barchetta (offshore) which would make a very worthwhile addition.

The car is extremely roomy for a mid engine two seater, much more than something like a Diablo and is very nicely screwed together inside.

BMW Car magazine did an article a while ago, drop me a email and I can forward a copy it on should you wish?

the zz2 evolved into the autobacs gairaya, which is far uglier and afaik also hasn't been released.

the zz1 was also reborn as the leading edge RT in 190hp and 240hp form. can;t find a website so they might've tanked by now.

To be fair that might a few copywrite issues but if you email me privately I can send over what I have if that’s ok?

The editor kindly allowed me to reproduce the article in the DTDC magazine last month but I wouldn’t want to take liberties.

None the less I am always happy to answer any questions you might have about a Guara, with so few cars about and even fewer that greatly actively driven I am always pleased to help.

Here you go

While not a super car this has be largely ignored, not sure why I like them

And the NSX was largely unloved wasn't it,while it sold and as good as it was it never got the success it deserved did it.

Might be a bit more conventional but i have always absolutely loved the flatnose 911 - a real rare treat when you do see them on the road:

Love at first sight here!! I looked it up, it's got a 248bhp V8 designed by an ex-Ferrari engineer and it only weighs 1667lbs - amazing! cloud9

A few repeats on here, but though this has been mentioned, no pic as yet.

Unloved... only sold 67 in the UK!
