Love these - twice now, I've come close to buying one. I suspect the reason I still love them is because I didn't. smile

Neither unloved nor forgotten... wink

Beautiful smile

But they did go throught a long period of being unloved and unwanted
Most still don't know what to make of it. Pretty Marmite-ish me thinks.
I wonder if Porsche ever looked at the Lambo when they were designing

scratchchin
They probably looked the other way!

Top picture....

What the arse has been done to that 928???

I have that book. 928 is a Strosek. Book is about 80s supercars.
I've got that book too! It's a Marks & Spencer Christmas special from about 1990.

And from that, I've always loved...

...the Sbarro Challenge.

Even more nutty was what they did to the mk1 Golf- add a bit of hydraulics and a 911 Turbo engine, and this was the result:

It wasn't originally designed to run like that, it was to make servicing the engine easier. However some owners liked to show off a bit!

The Cizeta Moroder V16T. Think this is the last production car which had a V16 (or is it two V8s joined together?) Stacked pop up head lights look truly horrible.

Clicking through all the splash pages and flash gubbins to get to the site, the footer says this:

"© Copyright 2001 Cizeta Automobile

Cizeta USA was visited by 00000001 visitors" hehe

Something a little bit odd there if its back in production!
I met Zampolli. To my ignorance, I argued with him that they no longer make them - not knowing he was the man behind the car! Anyway, he builds them on a special order bsais in Orange Country. Price is over $500,000, if I recall.

I think the articulated one only came with the flat 6.

Artz also did the Vauxhall Cordett (Kadett stretched over a Corvette), 911-engined VWs and so on. Not really supercars though.

New big Lambo reminded me of one forgotten supercar, the Lamborghini P147, which was intended to replace the Diablo, but was rejected by Audi. And there's a reason in it - the Murci looks much better.

A thread worthy of resurrection. Some "interesting" cars in here

I saw this and I realised it's basically a scaled up, mid 80s remix of the Lancia Beta coupe

I always liked the Guara. I'm fairly sure there are one or two coupe owners on here.

The Zagato-styled Aston of the mid-late 80's has grown on me a lot over the years since it was in production too.
