it's making any 159 look like a cast-iron investment, compared with almost everything else in the class.

Come on Steve. Even the most ardent Alfa fan knows that the words 'Alfa' and 'investment' will never appear together.
Find me an 8C below list. wink

I wasn't actually previously aware of the 'Renegade' trimmed Cherokee. Looked quite smart with the built in roof spots etc. A couple went through.

There were Patriots too; sorry I didn't get the prices. The auction hall had three of its 4 lanes running at the same time today, so there's no way I can get to everything.

The Chrysler/Jeep sales are always very good at Colchester though; well worth attending if you fancy one from their range. I'm patiently waiting for a Grand Cherokee SRT-8 to turn up smile

The reason I asked about the Patriots is that my wife recently bought a used Patriot CRD. I thought we got it for a good price but the auction prices would have been interesting to see, maybe...

Great reports though, keep up the good work cool

Assuming you bought an 07 or 57 recently, if you paid less than 50% of original retail you were at the right place.

can trade only attend these auctions?

Not really looking tbh, but at 22k for a 05 Exige (what i would like) to think a SLK AMG is around that mark it makes you think a bit harder...

That's a brave move in the current climate. Certainly not a stupid move, as there are certainly deals to be done.

What provided the impetus for your decision? Have you been working in car sales and want to go independent?

What kind of cars do you plan on selling? How many cars can you stock at any one time?

Just dipping my toe in the collective water here (doesn't really bear thinking about) but given the interest in auctions etc, might a separate forum for auction related chat be a good idea? Rather than have the threads spread about, it would keep all the advice and reports together.

Probably better to post your suggestion in Website Feedback to get the right people to consider it.

This is something ive been thinking about doing for a while but im gonna wait to see what happens in the next few months. I did start 3 years ago only doing 1 but didnt have the time but now do.
Im currently saving for a car in the spring so have a bit of £ spare and might have a punt at one/a few.
If you are trading the right cars you can still make some £

A good way to start at the moment is the ford ka's/corsas/fiestas for a few grand keeping 1 car at a time.
